Gold spot hit a high of USD1866.32. Currently USD1856.56



Copper futures are at two year highs and up around 50% on the coronavirus lows hit in March.

Can't see anything news wise, guess it was just new North America buyers coming on board.The early AM trading will set the theme for the day, will the regular uK punters want to play at the higher prices or will the herd stay away and wait for the inevitable drop back to this mornings open? Let's se shall we....most of us here really don't care so much as we all have Holding's from a fairly long way back...

Newcrest isn't a leaky ship so why the confident buying? AIM companies do have a reputation for being insider trading stocks but NCM is a different beast. They keep their news tight to their chests. Could it be something other than tomorrow's update?

A further nice 1.2 million buy posted at 17:09 @ 13.7p. Funny that we'd probably not even blink an eye at a similar trade a couple of years ago, when there were so many going on!

Not that I know of. The stronger connection is Starvest (SVE) to GGP. SVE hold 82m GGP shares. Callum Baxter is Chairman/CEO of SVE and Chief Technical Officer of GGP.
