05/3/2020 08:54 | IMHO, I just can't see any J/V at Scally at this time, whatsoever. The most likely scenario going forward will be the planned Scallywag test drills, as GH indicated, during Q1/Q2 this year. That should be under current project funding, with cash flow being adequate, as reported in the last financial results, until around October, plus, also now, the addition of the warrants finance now available. Further funding for extra drilling (based on positive test drill assay results, and which I also believe that GH would be in favour of, to add extra shareholder value) at Scallywag may well then be funded by the possible divestment of the likes of Fire Tower and/or Warrentinna around, say, Q2/Q3 this year. Based on all that, obviously again assay results based, and it's only a guesstimate, I'd expect GGP to then go for another farm in type agreement with Newcrest at Scallywag (most likely, and taking up their first right of refusal option), or, alternatively, the possibility of a new J/V with someone else (unlikely as Newcrest will wish to keep as much control as possible vis a vis Telfer), taking place towards the end of 2020. | timberwolf
05/3/2020 08:09 | I'm really hoping GGP keep Scallywag for themselves. At least initially, they have the funds to at the very least to make a good start to the drilling campaign. | mufprat

05/3/2020 08:00 | Had a feeling for an RNS this am, maybe Friday, just got that gut feeling that news is about to drop (other than NC drill updates) I am hoping for a Scallywag start date and plan.Mind you, at the rate Newcrest are spending money, could be they are tying up a deal with GGP before the drill goes in the ground?GH did allude several times at the AGM that NC loved how Scallywag looked. | telbap

05/3/2020 07:22 | Miners throw cash at Paterson explorers as Winu, Havieron edge towards development STOCKHEAD - 4th March "The majors are investing huge dollars in Paterson Province exploration to find the next Tier 1 Winu or Haverion copper-gold discovery. The potential prize is massive as the WA region evolves from pure greenfields exploration into a development story. Rio Tinto is now targeting first ‘staged’ production at Winu in 2023. The Newcrest-Greatland Gold JV is also looking to start an exploration decline at the huge Havieron project this year, ahead of first production in 2022-2023........... | timberwolf

04/3/2020 16:41 | Would love to see a nice strong open towards 5p tomorrow then we can resume our journey towards 6p.2 weeks for NC update on Haverion drills and hopefully before that an GGP update on Scallywag drilling. All to play for. | telbap
04/3/2020 16:37 | TW, each day they're keeping it nearer to the high on the close. If they then suddenly start dropping the price it could mean they suspect or know some news is on its way and are gathering shares given if what's been said about an update? being due any time. Thursday is a good time because it gives the brokers time to spread the news out for the weekend. Tomorrow could be interesting. IMHOZoo | zooman
04/3/2020 16:07 | Hopefully we can end today at least very near the 4.9p high. Bid/Offer spread has been slightly weaker too. :-) | timberwolf

04/3/2020 13:25 | DW, Scallywag sits within the same Exploration License as Havieron, my guess is that drilling permission is already granted. The Scallywag Prospect is located within the following Exploration License: • E45/4701 (granted) • Twelve (12) blocks of E45/4701 are subject to farm-in by Newcrest Operations Limited (over the Havieron Prospect). • Newcrest Operations Limited holds right of first refusal as per Farm-in Agreement dated 12th March 2019. • No known impediments exist, including a license to operate in the area. | pr0t0n
