Looking on AJBell, I see a stamp duty charge. Is this correct - do others have same?

These were clearly going to be oversubscribed. Bought in the market yesterday at 112.6p and again today at 114.1p. Together with the 38% allotment from the offer this gets my portfolio weighting in these to 2% which is where I wanted it to be. Based on GRID's recent results and comparable price these still look cheap.

I've found "never buy on a premium" has saved me a lot, but I accept there's occasionally justification.

SYNC a recent example - NAV largely unchanged over 2 years, yet the shares have gone from a 25% premium to a 15% discount. That's a lot of pain if you bought at the premium.

Thanks @Alan PT.

I note "..Strong inflation-linkage such that a 1 per cent increase in assumed inflation is projected to result in a 0.7 per cent increase in portfolio returns"

for INPP, which with inflation shooting the lights out, probably isn't bad (but still lagging - no luck finding an RPI uncapped linkage).

I'd maybe fancy GSF's current NAV to be higher than stated than INPP's tho - based on GRID the other day.

UKW 16% premium. Asking for a haircut at some point I would imagine. Folk getting carried away imo.

INPP is at a perpetual premium, averaging around 15% for the last few years, so buying it at a 7% premium is a pretty safe bet

Even with the INPP offer in play, HICL is still at the top of it's range on around a 15% premium, so there seems to be plenty of demand there

Both have a very high inflation correlation, which may account for it!

My placement ones on ii are at 38% but the ones I applied for from the corporate action are still showing the 18 k I asked for, anybody else applied through the corporate way?

Now, is the market getting toppy when everyone's piling into issues at premiums to NAV - GSF, INPP...

Just askin' ;)

(I went for GSF - got 34.4% in iii).

I guess for some they sold shares at 112.5 in order to buy more at 110 only to find they only get 38% allocation.

I know we’re all disappointed at only receiving a 38% allocation and thinking we are hard done by. But at least the offer went through very well and (looks like) there will be healthy premium on the shares allocated.

I’d rather have it that way than the offer was under subscribed where I got my full allocation, which would then trading at a discount to the 110p issue price, leaving us all sitting on a sizeable loss.

Good luck everyone, Sid.

II.CO.UK: Customers will receive approximately 38% of the amount applied for rounded down to the nearest whole share.Should be the same for all intermediaries.

jane - Have you tried looking in the active order section on AJB. There is an extra line on there that shows how many have been allocated to my account and it looks to be about 40%, the same as GBCol.

Good luck everyone, Sid.

Looks like I got a bit under 40% of what I applied for through AJ Bell which is extremely disappointing. Can’t even top up in market until they return my unused funds :(

38% on Idealing apparantly. Hopefully future Issuerers will see brokers as better route than primary bid now.

I just phoned Hargreaves and they said allocations won't be known until tomorrow when the shares 'get delivered' - then people will be told / shares put in the accounts.

Do "we" think that the PB scale back will be indicative of what happens elsewhere(other broker applications), or is it likely to be radically different? I've applied across three different brokers in the hope of getting a sensible allocation-but hoping I won't be heavily scaled back in all of them thus ending up with holdings that are barely worth having

Yet another PrimaryBid hardly worth the effort due to low allocation. Why not close it early if even once doubled, it's way over-subscribed?

All the shares I went for were in the intermediaries offer via HL - no news yet. I wasn’t a holder before I applied. But put 10 percent pf position in over last few days around 113 incase I didn’t get many. Will let you know if I get any!

I did wonder that skinny. I dont think they were keen on allowing me through after their stated deadline. Its possible its never been requested before. Maybe they will develop a policy for future requests. As you say c'est la vie. Maybe the next time.

Scuff - when I realised I'd missed the deadline, I phoned on Monday and was told that nothing could be done - I assume as you'd already applied, it was subject to different criteria - C'est La Vie.
