Wonder why he did that. Maybe their high pay was disturbing the economic stability or something.

"Gordon Brown and his pruduance is going to put the great back into britain"

Couldn't resist a pop at this thread when I read it's title.

Is that the same "great" that he took away 2 years ago when he slipped out IR35 VERY QUIETLY post budget wilfully condemning 66000 small fledgling I.T. businesses (Govs own figures btw) to closure and effectively causing many of our countries top I.T. entrepeneurs to flee to countries where their skills are more valued.

see here for more background www.pcgroup.org.uk and watch out for innocent looking treasury announcements over the next few days (It could be your industry next!!)

Couldn't believe this when i saw it.....

Footsie won't dislcate from dow under any circumstances unless it to go lower.

Pound may not remain strong for long against a basket of world currencies although european ecu it may appreciate against in the short term.

The term is Prudence by the way and Labour are spending more all round but delivering less.

"Boom and bust" has gone a tad quiet....what a surprise. The new Government sound-bite "wreckers & reformers"

Sometimes their is'nt enough vomit in this world.

1) If the UK avoids a recession, it will be due to the chancellor's expert economic management,
2) If the UK does suffer a recession, it will be due to World Economic Developments Beyond Our Control
3) If we are doing so well outside the EuroZone, how come we will be cast into the outer darkness and perish unless we join, and pronto?
