Spot on, CR.

Yes they're hardly ones for shouting out from the rooftops.

But they are a great company, well-run with full order books currently. What's the betting we're in for another cracking set of recults alongside a further dividend hike ? How may firms can look forward to that at the moment ?

August 21st are the next results.

Don't be shocked when they don't appear at 7.00am, GDWN nearly always pop them out in the afternoon (about 3.30pm usually but not always). Often makes punters new to GDWN worry that it's bad news but it rarely is - It's just the way Goodwins have done it for the last thousand years that they have been listed :-)

VT = Vosper Thorneycroft (VTG) I think.

3.4K buy today - largest I've seen in a month and you don't see many of them.

"Among the small caps, Goodwin perked up 97p – almost 9pc – to £12.35 on talk the company may have received a takeover bid. The chatter doing the rounds was that either VT Group or Rotork could be interested in the company"

Something definitely going on imo.

Look at the afternoon selling yet the stock closed at the high of the day. There was more selling than buying today in total and it's up £1.

Also look at the small trades - they are by the same person imo.

296 @ 9.24am + 504 @ 9.24 am = a round 800.

Work your way up and all those little trades round up in pairs to make a larger round number.

These ain't your normal GDWN trades imo.

Uncrossed @ 1235p in the closing auction, high of the day.

Even with no bid, these are now good for 1400p as I stated previously. Hopefully the share price can push through this and 1400 will become support.

The fact is Cambium, as you and I know, bids or no bid these are still screaming cheap - this co has a history of performance like no other imo.

Broker called me just now. The rumour is that VT Group are bidding gor GDWN.

Obviously I can't verify this so make of it what you will. Sort of stacks up tho imo and strange that the FT suddenly got interested last week.

If there is a bid I can't see the Goodwins letting the co go for under £20 a share imo - a very proud co with a great record and and they won't let that go lightly when they are doin gso well imo.

Still treat it as ramp as always until you see the whites of their pound notes :-)

Looks like the FT article had a positive effect.
