12/4/2002 13:01 | come on shorty who do you trade with ?? people that come on these boards making up stories in ana attempt to impress others are pathetic | cyber investor
12/4/2002 12:44 | Who knows what'll happen. A big mark up is possible, but the fact remains the co. is under investigation by SFO and that's not for nothing so this would probably be sold into. If it does open up then I'll be a bit annoyed as I shorted a share that I expected to trade until 4.30pm. The co. asked for its shares to be suspended, but in its statements has not added anything to what we knew already. Yet they remained suspended all day. | byrdsong
12/4/2002 11:45 | errrm... cyber old chap, getting 'out' of a short means buy, not sell. And even if it didn't, many of us trade via derivatives and bets, not the share trades that you see listed. | m.t.glass
12/4/2002 11:36 | alexx says he's out at 400 ! there was no sells at 400 --- this board is full of people that make up stories - especially those that claim to be shorting - YEAH RIGHT !! | cyber investor
12/4/2002 08:50 | MTG very much agree with that, when things are settled I will probably take out my long term short again, but too much risk at the moment | alexx
12/4/2002 08:43 | This stock was already in a long downtrend. Wherever it settles this weekend the pitch of that downtrend is likely to be worsened not improved. Whatever the outcome of the inquiries, even if GSD is totally exonerated, it will remain damaged goods. Every future mention of its name will bring thoughts of "Weren't they involved in some fraud scandal once?" Names that get tarnished by association with bad news tend to stay tarnished, just like placenames do. Towns may have had thousands of years of perfectly innocent history, but bad news sticks - especially with internet searches throwing up archived references forever. Who can mention Hungerford without the word massacre springing to mind, or Aberfan, or Lockerbie, or Kegworth without the one negative event overshadowing the place's entire history. Perhaps Goldshield's best bet once the inquiries eventually end is to change its name so that searches no longer throw up the fraud connection.. even though that does undermine everything it has previously done to build that name. Meanwhile commiserations to those who were holding and congrats to those able to trade the yoyo days. | m.t.glass
