Someone just offloaded 500k and there were a few more mid size sells earlier. Suspect boredom has set in with some investors and they are moving somewhere more exciting. As long as gold stays over 1900, I still think we'll get above 10p in the not too distant future.

Yes, same as they have done since time begun.Time for the share price action to be taken out of Mkt Makers hands.Takeover (Martin Ooi) , institutional buyer (broker needs to make some noise) share buyback/dividend (GDP mgmt)......

Strange drift down on next to no volume. Not gold price related. Just a normal MM shake?

Price sensitive RNSs which should be coming up are:Ghana tolling; Completion of kili; Stronger operating results due to pog.It would be nice to add new contract wins to the list but even nicer to announce buybacks / a dividend.

sea - you are right - we have a number of relatively dormant assets which are long due to be monetised due to increase in POG?

we need to remember - goldpat is a downstream recycler of waste, which doesn't have the speculative appeal of a traditional miner, that can suddenly announcing a world class find.

Goldplat can propel its valuation by doing something with the TSF they have on site and securing bigger contracts from mines such as the newly reopened Obuasi mine in ghana and the 3rd party tolling arrangement they had before with Endeavour resources

Mf, news needs to be new and significant. As a £13m market cap company, we will only rarely have anything which the market finds stimulating. Kili is one but other than that, we really need to impress with the size of our cashflows and any big new contracts / permissions. Trouble is, without a dividend, it's difficult to see value.

Goldplat needs to follow the example of Shanta Gold in how to keep the company in the public eye. We are still invisible? Surely there must be something positive to report to keep the ball rolling?

Mf, not just AIM. Every BB has conspiracy theories about MM activity. Most of the time, they're nonsense. However, the MMs do get advance notice on some corporate activity and they also see the off book trades. This effectively makes them insider dealers but they are meant to act only to balance the market. It is pretty clear that they act according to the information they have rather than just the market trades.

Lowtrawler - I have no idea if you are right or not but i am very suspicious of MM AIM in particular. They have their own agenda? One of the problems with AIM shares? Always something going on behind the scenes?

Mf, it's the late response to gold dropping. Don't ask me why but GDP never reacts immediately to gold pricing.

Sp, to be honest, I think Papillon is just a shell that due to its previous listing is being used as an acquisition vehicle. The brains are all in mayflower and they have the mining expertise.

Who are the people behind the people which Killi is being reversed into?

Seems a bit convoluted to me and these things normally end in tears

There are two things to making Kili a success which GDP didn't have. Firstly get a competent mine manager and secondly get started while the gold price is high.

If they can produce the touted 8kozs they will be making about $8m pa gross profit.

I can understand them being excited about it. They just have to execute, which GDP was unable to do.

Papillon look like del boy dealers looking around for the next big thing. Their previous attempt to become used car salesmen fell through and so now they're trying their hand at African gold mining.I suspect our price reflects a healthy dose of scepticism regarding their ability to pull this off.

They seem keen;
Securing a near-term gold asset, which requires limited capex to bring to fruition, and which is partnered with significant upside from resource expansion and mine optimisation activities, is a remarkable find for our investors.

Dinky - I am sure they will announce a share buy back at the very least and I personally would love the return of a dividend.

The company need to step in and pay a dividend or start a buyback programme. They are not maximising value for the shareholders. You only have to look at the US Mkts to see what happens when there's someone in the background buying !!

dinky - you are right it is absurd but the potential is still very eveident and eventually when the penny drops we will get our just rewards for our longstanding patience? GDP is very slow moving but I suspect the next year will be great.

Reminder to all that Kili is loss making and has cost the company millions. That loss making division is now gone. Plus we get £1.5m for it.Change in share price since deal announced on Jul 31? 0%A £13m Mkt Cap company gets rid of a £500k-£1m/yr loss making division, pockets £1.5m in the process, and the value of the company doesn't change!!! Come on!!!! This is just absurd.
