Anyone care to ANSWER MY QUESTION: Depression or Hyperinflation or am I being overly pessimistic? Either will effect POG.

One thing that concerns me is the directors lack of skin in the game. Nobody has any size of holding. I think if the directors all piled in at current levels, it would put us on the radar and align their interests with our own.

I've seen companies undervalued on fundamentals before and it always surprises me how long it can take for them to achieve a fair valuation. In many cases it is years. Usually, an event occurs to bring them onto the radar and you get very rapid price growth which overshoots. Hopefully the same thing happens here.

I'm very much learning and appreciate the helpfulness of this board. The extent to which GDP is undervalued is quite incredible. Even with my basic understanding, I can see we are sitting on resources which, when processed, will generate profits many times the current share price. If we were properly valued, it's difficult to see why we would be less than 25p never mind 6p.

Lowlander - Kimboy is good with his estimates and now you realise how undervalued GDP is? Some of us have been waiting patiently for years and the combination of a change in management, a new large shareholder and the POG has let things fall into place? Kili still a problem for me and their are as with all AIM shares some risks but am waiting eagerly for the next update.

There are a couple of things on recovery rate. Firstly they have had the university working on it for quite a while. If you google the following you will get it.

EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE, CONTACT TIME AND AGITATION …

Also about 12% of the resource had already migrated into the footwall, and I presume more is moving through the pile. I would presume this part will be easier to recover.

Thanks kimboy, makes it even better. In terms of recovery rate, I have looked at other dams resources and they have anticipated recoveries of between 36% and 42%. Based on your comments, it looks like this resource can be processed, given to us as a dividend equal to the current share price and we get all other GDP assets and activities for free.

Well I think the recovery rate will be at least 50% and the tax rate will be about half the 50% rate you have assumed.

Apart from that seems OK IMV

The reason I'm asking for assistance in valuing the SA dams resource is that working on a 40% recovery rate, 26% minority interest and 50% tax rate with a $1,000 per ounce net return, I come up with a value that equals the current GDP share price. Even if I assume we need to spend a few hundred thousand on the tailings facility, this one resource appears to support the current GDP share price. What am I missing?

Can anyone help me value their South African "stock dams with a JORC Compliant Resource of 81,959 ounces which they plan to process through a third party's plant on a toll basis. To do this, they have to design and build a new tailings facility whilst the stock dam dries out over the next 3 to 5 years".

Quote taken from their annual report. I know that we have a large minority interest and tax rates in SA are high. What's the best view of a bottom line GDP shareholder impact from completing processing of this resource?

Supported by the gold price, I'm expecting us to inch higher as we move towards the next operational update. With no news on kili but a strong update, I think we'll hit 7 to 8p. I'm thinking that we'll be making windfall profits for the next couple of years as we use up stock bought at much lower metal prices.

The positive cashflow won't be visible until end July / beginning Aug when we get the next operational update. Suspect it will come as a surprise to the wider market and so will generate a spike. If we can combine that with news on kili, the price might get close to double figures.

Not many profitable Gold producers around in the sub 10m market cap range. Remember they still have assets sat there dormant. As Gold prices increase what's the betting they come back into focus? Gold past $2000 and they'll be pulling in some decent cash
