25/5/2021 18:10 | Well the daily chart in the header gives me hope that 1900 will be hit today, DIAMOND1! We've just had a bullish ascending triangle and 1900 is the likely target. Fingers crossed! And 28 for silver! | papillon
25/5/2021 16:51 | papillon, Nearly, but only nearly. As I said last week, it appears to be consolidating around $1,180. No doubt it will drop back later, as there's no specific news to prompt a move up. If not, it could be the start of the next leg up in the coming week or two. | diamond1
25/5/2021 16:30 | Wow! Gold nearly made 1900. Silver very nearly made 28. | papillon
25/5/2021 13:45 | Once it's up and running the app is really good. It works with my fingerprint.Even gives you your pin number if you forget it.I have a Kinesis account too, which I intend to link to Silver, just having a few problems with that currently related to confirming my ID. | ian_2
25/5/2021 13:39 | Ian_2, Thank you very much for that. I have tried to download the app on my very old Android device, but as yet it's failed. I guess I need to upgrade to something a bit more up to date. | diamond1
25/5/2021 13:29 | I have a Glint card. No problem with it so far. Here are the charges taken from their website. The gold exchange fee comes with a charge of 0.5% of the transaction value. Similarly, the foreign exchange fee is 0.5% of the transaction value. Point-of-sale transactions are free with a limit of £5,000 per day; ATM withdrawals cost £1.50 with a limit of £300 per day | ian_2
25/5/2021 12:58 | davebowler, I've looked at Glint several times in the past, even before it went into administration. (Thankfully, now out.) In addition to payments in Gold, it seems like an ideal payment solution as it's so easy to transfer funds from currency to currency, wherever you are in the world. However, without actually registering for a card, I've been unable, so far, to establish what the transfer charges are between those currencies. Maybe YOU know? I know one thing though, if this gains traction worldwide, an awful lot of Gold will have to be bought initially to cover it's client base. Of course, this is quite similar to other offerings such as Revolut. The only real difference is the Gold option. Gold will be a great option while the price is rising, but when it's falling, then what? | diamond1
25/5/2021 09:30 | hxxps://thedailygold Perhaps 22/23 will be our time | atlantic57
24/5/2021 15:56 | GPM share price on the rise. About time to. EDIT. Didn't stay up for long! lol. | papillon

24/5/2021 09:18 | The cryptocurrency volatility is simply staggering. Especially for the alt coins | papillon
23/5/2021 18:40 | Luckily (or unluckily!) I have never been tempted by cryptocurrencies. It looks like the bubble has burst as this 3 month candlestick Bitcoin chart shows. A Bearish H&S pattern formed around 8 days ago and circa 30k was always a possible intraday short term price target. It happened on Wednesday following the adverse news from China. I'm tempted to think this news leaked and was acted upon before the Chinese authorities issued the news. Either that or savvy investors saw it coming. Charts cannot predict the future, but they do record current market sentiment and that can give a guide to the future. Many of the alt cryptos have suffered bigger percentage falls than Bitcoin recently (though Bitcoin is currently around half it's all time high). ETH & ADA are less than half their respective highs recorded not much more than a week ago. | papillon
21/5/2021 21:53 | Huge swings in the Gold and Silver prices in the last hour of trading in America. Who knows what will happen next week? | diamond1
21/5/2021 16:28 | One thing is for sure, Bitcoin is proving what an unstable monetary exchange mechanism it is. Can't see it lasting a lot longer in it's current form. Imagine selling your car for £15,000 worth of Bitcoin, only for it to be worth half that the following day. Businesses can't work like that. They need stable exchange rates as they do business months in advance. The sooner 'Private' digital currencies are dumped, the better. Not sure about government ones. | diamond1
21/5/2021 16:08 | There will be support for Bitcoin @ 20k, DIAMOND1. If Bitcoin drops that low and that key support level fails who knows how far it will fall? | papillon
21/5/2021 15:57 | I watched a video earlier that suggested Bitcoin's recovery to $40,000 was a 'Dead cat bounce.' Interviewee suggested it could drop below $25,000 and then some. | diamond1
21/5/2021 15:26 | Big percentage drop in Bitcoin and other crpytos. Gold & silver also down, but small percentage drops. Must have been release of USA economic data. DOW and oil price up. | papillon
21/5/2021 15:14 | Back down to $1875. The Roller Coaster continues. | diamond1
21/5/2021 14:12 | Yes, I know papillon, and it looks like it's doing the same again. As I said, it's consolidating at it's new level. How long that will last? Who knows? | diamond1
21/5/2021 14:00 | It got up to 1890 intraday on Wednesday, DIAMOND1, before falling back down. Let's hope it improves on Wednesday! Fingers crossed. | papillon
21/5/2021 13:50 | Ha, ha, ha, ha. It was bound to happen. As soon as I posted about the $1880 level, it burst right through. C'mon Gold, $1,900 next test! | diamond1 |
