you can buy 35k at 45.6 at the moment which suggests they have a few to get rid of but that can change very quickly.

For a trade it looks tempting with gold trying to break 1330 but I do think we have a seller at the moment. Someone has been dumping 50Ks

Just sold the last of mine for now.
Had to place order, which I thought odd.

ITs often lag by a day or so - NAVs posted late - its handy! gives a bit of thinking time

bamboo2 - I noticed that too. Between 1-2 days behind. Still trading at a 17% NAV discount.

PanicI, I trade GPM using the $gold chart.
Usefully, GPM lags.

Bamboo can you really chart with this as it's entirely pegged to gold and secondary stock performance ?

I was looking for 40p however after the non farm pay roll figures were published and at the time GPm was still nigh on flat on the day I increased my holding. This was in the anticipation that the chat about US interest rate increase would be cooled and thus helping gold.

We will see.

I've sold down all my pms for time being, except JLP, which is a particular story around platinum. I don't don't doubt that PP will be proven right in the longer term, and I continue to think that GPM will be an optimal way of riding that. Will continue to look in.

Zooming in on the chart reveals more detail and shows my recent trendline to be slightly inaccurate. In most chart patterns this is not a problem, but on acute triangle apexes it shifts the timing. I now suggest next weeks apex based price turn, if any, occurs on Thursday/Friday, rather than Monday.

Gold may test the 200 day SMA if a rate rise is confirmed (say $1250-60 region). A bounce off that will signal the next big up leg. Poor NFP numbers tomorrow will see a resurgence as it will indicate one 0.25% rate rise in December at worst.
highly geared

If Yellen and the Fed raise rates, then gold will surely go below $1300.

If it does and drifts down to the $1200-1250 level then brilliant.

A great opportunity to pick these up below 40p for the long-term run up to a fiver by 2020.

Maybe - but if they do what will they have to do pay the bills? Election in November fraught enough without a stock market 'crash' in the summer perhaps... Guess we'll find out soon! And stop calling me Shirley...

Good man. Could go down to previous short term low at just over 40p. Then bounce back to 50.

I have a small Long Term holding in this as I like the Gold theme and the fact its an IT (less risk in 1 company / mine running out / mine collapsing etc)
But reading the thread i cant get a handle on if this is a 'quality well run IT' Any long term holders offer any views?

I'm looking closer to 40p. I will get it as well if gold dips below 1300 and towards 1250.

Took a few for my SIPP yesterday at sub 45p. I'm more than happy to hold for the LT, for those £5+ targets you talk about.. :-)
