28/11/2018 10:54 | Is that the Jerry Zucker of Airplane fame? | arthur_lame_stocks
29/9/2018 08:55 | Here's some news. Not sure whether it's good for GOAL or evidence of a wider malaise. hxxps://www.msn.com/ | arthur_lame_stocks
06/9/2018 08:27 | See what you think the interviewer makes of Mr Basing! | jthom
05/9/2018 11:57 | Noticed Chris Mills associated person bought 150k shares last week. How can he do this during a closed period? | jthom
19/7/2018 13:11 | I would think the sensible thing for anyone wanting to take out the whole company to do would be to wait until all the pithces have been refurbed and the cash is sunk and then make a bid. | arthur_lame_stocks
19/7/2018 09:31 | Main shareholders listed below, very few shares are available. hxxp://www.goalsplc. | eastbourne1982
19/7/2018 08:42 | Someone needs to put this out of it's misery and take it over, £1 would probably do it now. The share price was 85p - 90p only very recently so it's hardly an ambitious target. | eastbourne1982
19/7/2018 08:38 | They're all leaseholds AIUI (though I may be wrong here?) But acc' to the AR they're generally at "long average lease length and low average rent" and they've been investing heavily on refurb' over recent years. Also, with the finals they said "Further UK investment to be financed from existing cash flow until indebtedness ratio reduces". It's really all about P/E and PCF IMO; "Underlying free cash flow generated during 2017 was £6.4m (2016: £9.3m)." Also at some point, presumably, the free cash flow and investments already made will enable the resumption of a dividend. Having said all that, they are becoming something of a serial disappointer. The presence of Mike Ashley's lot on the register (close to 19%) makes me suspicious that something is afoot - as today's statement is very negatively worded. OTOH, the excellent Chris Mills is also on the register with close to 18%. Anyway, for better or worse, I thought 61p to be much too cheap - but I thought the same at an average 70p so don't listen to me! | value hound
19/7/2018 08:22 | Thanks Arthur - good to see you around. I recall that you posted on the Inveresk board a while back - what a stitch up that was! I see the share is now falling to around 60p - is it good value now? I am sure that a few more positive words in the TU could have avoided such a steep fall. For example there could have been a mention of the World Cup which surely must increase the UK's interest in football this season and hence should knock on to the five a side game. | mjcrockett
19/7/2018 08:20 | Value hound - isn't the vast majority of the PPE leasehold property? | pireric
19/7/2018 08:08 | I bought at 61p - looks overdone to me given the NTAV per share of twice that level and ongoing eps of c.8p - albeit not this year now! | value hound
19/7/2018 07:41 | Hello mj, you've been around here even longer than me, I seem to recall we were interested in some of the same investments back in the day but I can't remember which ones. All the best anyway. | arthur_lame_stocks
19/7/2018 07:37 | I thought the Trading Update had a very negative tone. Whilst the news is not good, the way it was written made it seem even worse. | mjcrockett
10/5/2018 16:49 | The update today was as expected, it was basically a repeat of a few months ago. Some decent size trades went through again today, I still think something could be brewing here. | eastbourne1982
10/5/2018 09:28 | Mixed update then, snow/weather naturally affected things, let's hope with the lovely spring weather now, they can start making some proper hay, likewise in the USA where things IMO seem to be on track. Serial disappointer, but it does IMO seem to be heading in the right direction....DYOR | qs99
03/5/2018 20:55 | Blimey, this has actually gone up. I can't remember the last time that happened. I suppose I might even be slightly pleased that Man City won the Premiership if it means I can get my money back. | arthur_lame_stocks
03/5/2018 12:01 | Not that often though, it mainly moves down, ha. | matt123d
03/5/2018 11:55 | If someone is simply trying to build a large stake it might not be IT at all. I dare say we will soon find out. | gerdmuller
03/5/2018 11:53 | It often moves like this | john09
03/5/2018 11:52 | Obviously not but as a private investor it creates opportunity. | matt123d
03/5/2018 11:49 | So I can only take it from that is that you want all insider trading rules abolished. | gerdmuller
03/5/2018 11:46 | If there is something going on then the price move has highlighted it for everyone to be able to get involved so insider trading is a benefit. | matt123d
03/5/2018 11:39 | Happens literally every time, insider trader is rife, the whole market is rigged to a certain extent. | eastbourne1982
03/5/2018 11:30 | Well if any news does break later it will make a total mockery on insider trading laws. | gerdmuller |
