Just ignore that or better still filter out Camile as I have done. It is clear from that last post that there is nothing to be learned from that poster!

You will be encouraged to know that according to my well informed industry source there are a number of positive announcements in the pipe line but i do not have dates. The implication was Soon! Derampers,Shorters and Idiots BEWARE.
Youv'e been told!

I would buy more but large holding and no cash.

Melville28 Good luck with Data i do like the company and believe it has a bright future. Just trying to improve my returns with a little more speculation.
GMC has increased from 4.25p to 12p in less than a month. who knows, it may be back at 4p in the next month when the Online Poker/Gambling bubble bursts.
Pay your money take your chances!
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Good Luck with Datacash

Up again today - bought another 10,000 yesterday which raised the bid and mid price by 2 - suspect more buyers in the wings this morning and looks like MMs short of stock. If nothing has changed since Novemeber, we have 3 Chip and pin deals to look forward to in the next 5 weeks. Anyone else tempted...

Small piece in Shares Mag today rating Data a buy from a chart perspective - and suggesting that support at 120 would lead to further strength.

I hold.

chip and pin - Q1 guidance from management, potential 3 contracts. Unlikely Terry Cave would give those details if he wasn't very confident. We're still only in Feb. Also Investec came out with another note last week saying the recent sluggish performance was totally unjustified given the uniformly positive trading performance, and reiterated their buy stance. This will re-rate when chip and pin is announced - the Investec analyst is quoted as saying he will upgrade his numbers 'substantially' in the event of any announcements.

Given the performance of NLR it is rather poor that DATA have been stuck in this current channel.

Update needed and where has chip and pin gone?

Now is not the time to move on from DATAs - it is sitting nicely in the hub of all online ttansactions and will piggy-back the inevitable growth of the online retail market. My experience tells me never to sell stocks in such attractive positions...it may take a while but DATA will be a long-term winner and those that have the nerve to withstand the false ramps and bouts of spivvy profit taking will make great returns. In that respect Camile i hope you have dumped your stock...this stock is for sensible investors...

Narrow minded Melville28. I,ve been involve with datacash since corp services, before Auxinet. Initial investment 2p. Time to move on. Compare the performance of DATA with GMC and IBG over the last 6 months.

ALWAYS LOVELY TO SEE A STRING OF CLUELESS PUNTERS BAILING AFTER A SMALL RISE SHOWING THEY HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING OF THE POTENTIAL FOR THIS COMPANY. THESE GUYS ARE NECESSARY AS THEY PROVIDE THE MARKET-MAKERS WITH STOCK FOR QUALITY INSTITUTIONAL DEMAND...PLUS THEY ARE THE SAME MUPPETS THAT WILL PILE BACK IN MUCH HIGHER UP AS ANNOUNCEMENTS EMERGE...

Thanks your response/comment...yes, also took a position with NLR and that still looks good value. On DATA I understand that they are also trading very strongly indeed, and from earlier comments from the company CEO Cave has some potentially exciting developments with major names. All a bit vague I am afraid but believe the company is making good progress in a number of areas and that the band of followers may expand soon...ie. for investors looking at the strong growth outlook for the company.

That was probably written by me cyberian and was mentioned on here many months ago - which was when I bought into NLR :-)

DATA has seemed a takeover target for a while for any US processing company to buy the UK's biggest set up for a relatively cheap price.

I cannot see them remaining independent for much longer if the growth rates come through. The NLR offering is, however, competetion in certain areas of their operation so NLR's takeoff may impact DATA in some way.

Saw on the NLR (Neteller) bb that they may be looking to bid for DATA...just a rumour...certainly would bring more credibility IMO to NLR but personally believe that DATA would be best to remain independent.

Was only a matter of time before DATA kicked back into gear. Given RTD's and NLR's performance it is a disgrace that we have been hanging around the low 100's.

Expecting 116 as a minimum. Where is the chip and pin news - that is crucial to get rid of uncertainty.

That recent 50,000 trade at 93.75p was a slightly delayed buy and the catalyst for the increase in price...that mention in the FT must also have helped.

DataCash Group, the e-commerce technology company, rose 5p to 92½p after analysts in Investec highlighted the shares’ underperformance, despite a stream of positive news. Analysts said that the shares offered “outstanding potential”, having underperformed the market by 10 per cent over the past three months, despite an upbeat trading update last month. Management said then that prospects for 2005 were good.
