it would be nice if ged do what eme are doing, they are giving some money back to shareholders very soon. They have also disposed an asset.

Well two weeks to go we shall hear something at the interims.

Ged should consider giving back $10m to shareholders from their large cashpile of $35m.

That will make the current cap of 9m tasty.. :)

All the scaremongers who have recently sold at a lost will go away.

Fact of the matter is they have big pile of cash and a good asset in Colombia..

That's the reason why they have loaned out as they are getting more than if they left in bank. Had they lent to a party which was not related and had no decent collateral then I would be worried. They pay back or don't it doesn't effect our net asset value much.

They pay back our cash value per share is around 75p they don't pay back and their shares cancelled our cash value per share is around 70p.

So I don't know why family value is agitated.

At some point like Huge Pant stated they will have to write our assets back into acc. Price of oil has recovered from the lows of 30 dollar..

Bad gateway,There was no risk involved in lending this money out, as everest held great number of shares in our co. They wont dare default and if they do their shares in our company are cancelled and we made $1m in interest this year to cover our expenses.Price of oil is around 50 dollars we need it to increase another 10 dollar and things get interesting again with our asset. Company certainly worth more than 9 m...

I think its good business. A 12% return on equity at a time when there own business was crippled by the low oil price and secured on their own shares whose value is backed by $25m in cash.
Win win situation for ged hope they do again. They're better as a loan co. than an oil one imo.

The loan calls into question the corporate governance of the company. I don't see any good in this. Anything priced at 12% is risky.

On fundamentals even if the loan is not returned after cancellation of shares the cash per share is around 68p, this doesn't include the 22m valuation for the Colombian asset.

Family ValuesThe share price wasn't at 25p when loan was arranged. So your point doesnt make sense. On top of this $1m interest has been received by everest.Like I said if everest don't pay loan back their shares are cancelled it like a buyback.

They have put down 9.3m shares they owe in our company as collateral, so I don't understand where you are coming from. Also they have been paying us monthly interest fees.

So I don't see a problem here..

The original "loan" if that is what you want to call it was for 6 months.
It wasn't paid back.
A further 2 million was then "loaned".

Does that seem sensible?

Because they're were offered a chance of earning 12 percent per year wasn't it or 80k/month if you like at a time when the oil price was pants and expected to go lower?
Seems a sweet deal. Do you have a reason why its not?
