21/2/2021 15:36 | It isn't very often I find myself agreeing with Monty but I believe that when we get a handle on the split of pharma and consumer healthcare and terms for holders that this company will roar in to action! | ianood
21/2/2021 15:22 | Thanks guys, the monthly chart certainly shows "what goes down can certainly go up" and it is a lovely simple little chart to read (which suits me). As I am here as a investment with no hurry to sell, I am certainly looking for that magic 1800 area. I will sit tight and wait for that magic little number and probably kick myself for not buying more at 1200. | supermarky
21/2/2021 14:42 | I'm hoping for a return to £15 when I will make serious money from all the ones I have loaded up on all the way down from £14. I don't think its unlikely to get there in the relatively short term (12 months?)either. In the meantime I also hold BHP RIO and GLEN to cheer me up. Also AZN and ULVR - not so cheering. But all good for income. | mercury123

21/2/2021 09:29 | Similar shares to me but will add IMB, Glen and BP to that list. Always thought they were a relatively safe defensive bunch but performance across them has been xxxx poor.Sticking with them though and all good divi payers(HSBC will be come a Tuesday) although would swap the divis for less capital depreciation | watfordhornet
21/2/2021 09:15 | Hello guys, sorry about my rant. I will keep on topic of gsk from now. Probably feeling grumpy as I have a badly broken leg from slipping in the snow.Anyways back to gsk and my bet is the sentiment will change to the positive side soon and this bad period will be a distant memory. Other scenario is we hit the 1000 area for a bit first (in which case i will buy shed loads more) and then this will recover.GSK is now one of my core stocks with vod rdsb hsba. I am very happy to have joined the party here and look forward to the ride. 1800 this time next your Rodney! | supermarky
21/2/2021 07:36 | EW has levitated in her communication to analysts during her time at this company. I understand that she prioritises resources in certain areas such as oncology, and we all know that cancer sufferers have been the forgotten throughout the last twelve months, but this is not the reason for the weak performance. That is the future for GSK, more that overall services within health care systems have been compromised as a result of focusing all capacity at Covid, and many of their leading drugs are now generic, and the stronger revenue generators within patent constraints may have seen lower growth as a result of fewer GP. prescriptions. But the discussion about the dividend is just pointless, it needed cutting if GSK is to start to strengthen its pipeline of new products, was way too generous, and it should not be a parameter to value the company. | wormhasturned

20/2/2021 23:57 | how about porridge at £1.10p to feed a family of 4 at breakfast for a week, when i was at school in the 1950's that is what we ate each morning..of course we were slim then and healthy not like the barrel generation we have now.. cheap as chips.. | lippy4
20/2/2021 22:41 | The list of current UK variants of concern is here However the variant strain B.1.525 is not on the above list of seven VOC's But B.1.525 is in at least 10 countries now and has scientists worried even as B.1.1.7 spreads across America and is becoming the world dominant strain 70% more transmissible and 30% more deady according to a recent UK study , and the South African and P1 Brazilian variant strains are starting to take hold in more countries and potentially pose greater threats to vaccine escape B.1.525 could prove even worse Plus in the last week alone another new variant in Japan and now another in the Philippines The problem imo is that their will be several recombinant or daughter virus formed by mutation of these new VOC's and the very transmissible B.1.1.7 UK variant as it has become the dominant Covid-19 strain This giving very likely escape vaccine potential to existing 30% death and 70% more transmission capabilities And still our UK nurses , paramedics and ambulance drivers are given only surgical grade masks NOT N95 grade masks --- a very poor show by our government imo NHS staff are NOT best pleased | buywell2
20/2/2021 21:59 | Hi su.what do you give your kids three square meals a day for a total of 50p | glifan
20/2/2021 21:28 | Supermarky the BBC are part of the problem, they air the propaganda without question. About a year ago they showed an obese " starving" school kid who claimed that food was impossibly expensive so they had to be given five pound each to buy their meals at Mc Donalds. There are so many holes in that argument that it should never have been aired. But the BBC saw it as s valid news item nevertheless. Do BBC journos live in the real world or are they completely stupid. | stewart64

20/2/2021 14:07 | It should not be political suicide to speak common sense. Life is about making choices and hard decisions at times. I bet some of these people who cannot afford to feed their children also smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, order from takeaways, have smartphones, Sky TV etc. In this country some people just love to moan. As a country we should educate each citizen so we all know what to expect from the state but also very importantly what the state expects from you!!! In order to have self respect and self worth and empowerment, the best we can do as a country is educate. I would hand out a Leaflet with the benefits system saying this is how you can feed your family with nutritional meals for £30 this week (with meal ideas and recipes). Carrot and stick. There should be no child hungry in this country. If a child is hungry it is die to neglect alone. I could feed my child for 50p a day so it is not a money thing. It is about taking responsibility. | supermarky
20/2/2021 13:53 | Exactly! The BBC is supposed to be a public service provider. They should educate people who need educating in this matter. It is not rocket science. Also it is NOT about throwing money at the problem. It is simple very basic skills. Eating hearty nutritional food is easy and cheap. Just stay clear of the usual Alcohol, Cigarettes, Cakes and Biscuits etc and concentrate on healthy staple ingredients. All these unhealthy fat people who are so under educated they cannot do anything for themselves apart from use their smart phone to order Just East and sit on their fat bottoms. It is not more MONEY they need it is Education! These people need to stop feeling sorry for themselves and eat healthy and do some bloody exercise! This will also empower them as they are able to cook and feel better with good nutrition and fresh air. Stop throwing money at a problem and instead throw some bloody common sense! | supermarky
20/2/2021 11:32 | supermarky 896 and 897 this is what i have been saying,to get a average of 83 the age comes out at 91.5 years so whats the problem with this country?????? why is there no programme on the tv to show meals that you can make from very little money its very suspicious that they dont do this especially the bbc who's job is to do things like this to help the population or is it because its not only a black issue.. plus they never go into one of these starving peoples homes to see what they are spending their money on??? | lippy4
