05/8/2019 09:13 | Yep, I think he is doing already. It's a human trait. Always to go that one step too far... and with those in power even more dangerous when they do. Buy gold (priced in GBP)! | sogoesit
05/8/2019 08:48 | Trumps big mouth and his dictator type actions are very likely to crash the markets. | abdullla
05/8/2019 07:02 | TM’ comment: “Its not necessarily a given that merging out/selling 0ff/floating off-patent products/generic products/non-prescri Agreed that this is not “a given”. What is? But there is a chance and we make our guesses as to that probability. Restructuring does, in general, throw up opportunities. What they are is difficult to foretell. In the same way that M&A generally fails the reverse may be true. At least we will get price discovery, positively or negatively, and a fairer view of the price of the parts. Good luck either way. 04/8/2019 21:20 | trader michael i have watched your comments over the years and respect your views as many times you have called it right... | lippy4
04/8/2019 19:25 | Let's see how the week unfolds. A drop towards 1650p could see me repurchase a modest number of GSK shares.Bear in mind there's an xd on Thursday. | tradermichael
04/8/2019 19:05 | And a fine way it is :-) | sicker
04/8/2019 18:08 | I call that self confidence it gives you that extra boost that you are doing the right thing'I think TM is saying "I did it my way" | abdullla
04/8/2019 12:28 | I fairness TM has pretty much said when he has bought in and sold in real time, so has some credibility in my eyes. There are plenty on these boards that use mythical brokers that allow you to trade in hindsight. | dr biotech
04/8/2019 07:56 | I love the way you have to tell people how much you are liquid (700k) your just giving it Billy large, oh look at me. | maddog68
02/8/2019 13:32 | Its not necessarily a given that merging out/selling 0ff/floating off-patent products/generic products/non-prescri Take a look at Pfizer. After closing Friday at more than $43, Pfizer shares have since dropped to the $38 range after sealing a merger of its off-patent drugs business with Mylan. Without its consumer health business and its established products unit, Pfizer will be doubling down on branded prescription drugs. And in their remaining division, “both revenue and EPS growth will be higher" while the size of the top line itself — and earnings figures, too — will shrink. Time will tell, but watch that outcome with GSK in mind ……… | tradermichael
02/8/2019 08:05 | GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK.LN) on Thursday said two new methods for self-administering its Nucala treatment for severe eosinophilic asthma has received marketing authorization from the European Commission. The pharmaceutical company said the EC has authorized marketing for a prefilled pen and a prefilled safety syringe that people suffering with severe eosinophilic asthma can take at home, once a health-care professional has decided the treatment is appropriate. | tradermichael
31/7/2019 16:26 | as i have now sold them we will see... | lippy4
31/7/2019 15:06 | Normal service will be resumed shortly with these on sterling recovering from its brexit induced crash as everyone realises that dope Boris will never be able to push through a suicidal hard brexit, looking to get back into these at sub 15.40, before year end that will happen, nothing really has changed much for Glaxo, cash conversion poor and trading on very high multiple now. Fall could be swift. | porsche1945
31/7/2019 14:18 | TM , excellent 👍 And there I was worrying whether to top slice my 850 shares 😊 | philanderer
30/7/2019 16:17 | I think the issue is how quickly the price has moved from below 1600p to the mid 1700s. Sure the results were very good and the exchange rate is very favourable. But is this enough to sustain the price for now? I have a note that on 05 Aug 2013 they were trading at 1723p (its taken a long time to regain these prices, and then in the event very quickly!). Sure there's 'corporate activity' ahead, but that is no longer news. A buy below 1650p would be O.K for me with a view to trading. I would consider that as well in order to capture the dividend. I tend to observe the trend rather than work to targets when trading. Good luck ....;0) | tradermichael
30/7/2019 15:31 | Well done TM . If you do not mind me asking what price would you consider for re-entry should the share price drop . With such a reasonable dividend , better than bank savings accounts , I was considering buying some more.I have held these for quite a long time and the total dividends have reached one third of my initial capital which is up 9% .I always take the divis out towards my income. | cyfalafwr
30/7/2019 10:03 | Yes well done TM....I havnt traded this share...happy to sit on it as an income play and watch the various posts...but can't argue with taking some profit at this level | badtime
30/7/2019 09:33 | Thanks guys. Meanwhile: £1 = US$1.22 | tradermichael
30/7/2019 08:23 | Well done TM you can sleep again now ;) | tim 3
30/7/2019 08:17 | Well played Michael, must feel good. | bluemango
30/7/2019 08:15 | My program sale went through yesterday at 1734.6, and that was the last egg in my basket. I have now safely hatched my collection of GSK eggs and am entirely liquid (~£700K). It doesn't look like there will be a drop for re-entry unless there is a drama in the market/economy, but you never know. I have earned well and I shall miss the dividends ……..good luck all holders! | tradermichael
30/7/2019 04:52 | and that... the sector is very hot with M&A including speculation (as per FT) that the pharma half of GSK would be an attractive target and may not be around for long. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
30/7/2019 00:25 | The recovery of GSK is three fold; Weak UK/US Pairing. No deal Brexit inevitable compounding UK/US Pairing, possible sub 1.20. Overseas money starting to flow back into UK Plc and continuing once UK/US trade negotiations announced, maybe pRe 31st Oct. Currently GSK has good news flow and share price momentum, share price to test 17.50 short term. | beckers2008
29/7/2019 22:37 | This may be breaking out of a long term box. The sector appears to be strong with azn doing even better so now is not the time to be completely out of gsk. Adding to that is the hedging in case of a brexit disaster. | riskvsreward |
