GlaxoSmithKline PLC (GSK.LN) said Monday that it is looking to expand the indication for its Nucala medicine--an add-on treatment for severe eosinophilic asthma--to include children aged six to 11 in the U.S.
The pharmaceutical company said that it has filed a supplemental biologics license application with the Food and Drug administration to expand the indication to include the lower age group.
In Europe, Nucala is available for children aged six to 17 years old, as well as adults, GlaxoSmithKline said.

Food and beverages giant Nestle will go up against Unilever in the final round of negotiations for GlaxoSmithKline̵7;s (GSK) consumer nutrition business in India, as the third shortlisted contender Coco-Cola has dropped out of the race, according to a report by The Economic Times.
The bids for GSK's stake in the business will likely be between $3.1 billion and $3.5 billion, sources told the newspaper. Whichever company successfully buys the stake will have to buy an additional 26 percent through an open offer.

wish id dumped this and stuck with astra, went the other way, its a dividend play but worse than useless for capital growth, market just doesnt believe in this company and it needs breaking up and the value extracting, id rather have a fast 30 pc uplift in share price then put the money to work elsewhere.

A suitable profit target can be ascertained by measuring the distance between the crown of the head and the neckline of the pattern and using that same distance to project how far price may move in the direction of the breakout. For example, if the distance between the head and neckline is 10 points, the profit target is set 10 points above the pattern's neckline.

Of course, hitting resistance and going xd could complicate matters!

GlaxoSmithKline̵7;s experimental drug GSK095 is designed to work in tandem with checkpoint inhibiting medicines in the hopes of empowering the immune system to launch a more aggressive attack against tumors than it does with checkpoint inhibitors alone. Early results from a preclinical trial of a related GSK drug suggest that the combo holds promise in treating pancreatic cancer—so much so that the company is launching a phase 1 study of the drug in combination with Merck’s blockbuster PD1 checkpoint inhibitor Keytruda.
In a study performed by scientists from GSK and New York University, GSK095 combined with a checkpoint inhibitor prolonged survival in mouse models of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to 50 days, while mice given the checkpoint inhibitor alone lived just 25 days, according to a statement.

GSK095 works by blocking the enzyme receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 1 (RIP1), which is a key regulator of immune cells known as macrophages. These cells travel to tumors, but then they transform into cells that suppress the immune response rather than enhance it. Macrophages cannot activate the killer T cells that would normally attack cancer cells.
