Hi TM (we share initials!)

If you are earning £9k div from GSK it implies you have £150k invested here.

This in turn means that if you have a suitably diversified portfolio your total capital invested is well in excess of £3 million.

I think if I were in that enviable position (one day perhaps!) I would probably spend my time doing interesting things :)

23p div in the bag, nice. Falling pound great for GSK. All we need confirmation that GSK as not won bid for Pfizer, shares would jump. Shares fell from 1625p to 1300p on even the idea we may bid, so upside potential is there.

P.E 11.62 eps 111.8p these are the bargain of the year.

Bears will close last 30 minutes of trade, otherwise 23p payback. Even bears really know these are good value, lol.

Everyone as different investment strategies, but why with a share yielding 6.04% ex div this Thursday 23p. Shares fallen from 1625p to 1305p just on something they may do, bid for Pfizer consumer division, ok investors worried about dividend if they did win.
Its probability 90% won't win, 10% will win is my view, when I think odds in my favour I invest.
If wrong ok getting paid 6% while I wait for them to recover.

No one of course knows, its all probability, but if GSK lose Pfizer consumer bid, my thoughts are 90% wont win, 10% they might win. We fell from 1625p to 1305p on the idea we may bid, which was overdone. So in theory we should at least go back over 1420p.The figures were superb recently, this is just holding us back. If we did win, Emma said she would not pay over the odds for that division. I hope she is bluffing on this deal and making RB pay up, lol.
