29/7/2021 08:48 | Sanofi is not some piddly company! | alphorn
29/7/2021 08:33 | Some of the Elliot criticism was valid. GSK has poorly communicated the split strategy and hasn't moved quickly enough to execute. There's not a lot EW could have done about the pandemic hit but the failure to develop a Covid 19 vaccine when that is your speciality was incredibly poor judgement. As was relying on a French company to deliver the solution. EW needs to accept responsibility for these calls. | alex1621
29/7/2021 08:10 | Market is possibly beginning to wake up to GSK being a good bet for the next few years. | netcurtains
29/7/2021 07:33 | Spoole5: Thats not relevant - there is a pipeline of drugs. The price GSK was THREE years after she started, compared to forth year is probably more important. How many years has Emma been head of GSK? You can't blame her for decisions made before she arrived. I guess whats happening in 2020 and 2021 are her years. So the fact that the current results are excellent probably proves she is doing a good job. | netcurtains
28/7/2021 22:55 | What was the price when emma took over? | spoole5
28/7/2021 22:04 | EI, against that, GSK did very well in USA tonight. DOW well down but GSK held its own. So on balance market appears to be happy enough with the figures both in UK and USA. Although be good to see how we fair tomorrow - especially if UK market heads up. | netcurtains
28/7/2021 21:51 | net, this Q is against a very weak 2nd Q 2020. TBF GSK flag this up. | essentialinvestor
28/7/2021 21:00 | So NYSE:GSK leaves it to us..... All day and results day too, and little of no movement either side of the pond. | netcurtains
28/7/2021 16:50 | Such great results and only a tiny bit up. Lets hope once all the guys get their heads together they come end up NORTH.. NYSE: GSK - is it still rising? It is in the above link. | netcurtains
28/7/2021 16:47 | Massive sellout at the close. | abdullla
28/7/2021 15:04 | Biontech received $445m from the German government to develop its Covid vaccine. | mcflies
28/7/2021 15:02 | About time. This should have been blue ages and ages ago. | netcurtains
28/7/2021 14:55 | High moral values? Was it not more to do with some pharma outfits accepting national/internation Anyway, I see this continued sell off of GSK as a verdict on EW and the strategy. It was quite predictable IMO and I am not surprised that the market has been unimpressed with it. I remain more annoyed with myself for not dumping this recently, but I did not need the cash and it was not a conviction sell for me...so I dithered and here we are :) | lovewinshatelosses
28/7/2021 14:54 | Thanks Wish I could make any sense of that. | mcflies
28/7/2021 14:53 | well I've done my bit | eurofox
28/7/2021 14:48 | Come on lads lets at least get these good results into positive territory | netcurtains
28/7/2021 14:44 | Mcflies 1.8M buys against 1.5M sells @ 1443 today. | dudishes
28/7/2021 14:36 | Monty - Who knows? But I'll raise you a tenner that sticky bottom EW will still be Velcro'd to her chair... spud | spud
28/7/2021 14:34 | It's not an AZN which every week announces a couple of extended use licenses for its new drug pipeline-a rarity for GSK. This, and new drugs and the occasional blockbuster-is what big pharma is about. GSK £10 about right, and the new divi will reflect this. | cumnor
28/7/2021 14:30 | Anyone have insight into the volumes of selling and the size of blocks following the results? | mcflies
28/7/2021 14:29 | Spud I have a tenner with you, Elliott won't be a shareholder for much longer. | montyhedge
28/7/2021 14:27 | I still fail to understand why it takes 2 years plus to split a company..... spud | spud
28/7/2021 14:25 | Not a particularly bullish commentary - detail of destocking etc..... IMO poorly written. Contrast that with this statement from Pfizer today - ...."we remain highly confident in our ability to achieve at least a 6% compound annual growth rate through 2025 and intend to build upon our recent successes by continuing to follow the science, trust in our people and remain focused on delivering breakthroughs for the patients we serve.” It will be interesting to read what AZN have to say tomorrow. Remember these are both global companies with audiences around the world. | alphorn
28/7/2021 14:24 | McFlies Simple answer, no growth, shareprice below what it was 25 years ago, dividend to be cut 30% in 2022 and in 2023. I thought the holy grail of investing shareprice growth plus growing dividends, this is the opposite of the holy grail. | montyhedge |
