Stunning results, way ahead of market expectations. Increased dividend and a share buyback. Take over of another business in the pipeline. The market is going to like this IMO.

Hi,

Can someone please kindly confirm which figure is correct.

Stock: GLB- Glanbia

Stockopedia is reporting the current net Debt figure as €604m however on the glanbia investors anuual report the net debt states: €493.9m

I queried this with Stockopedia and received the following repsonse:

Thanks for this. We most probably use a different definition of net debt.
We define it as total debt (768.39) minus cash and short-term investments (164.30), where total debt represents total interest-bearing debt outstanding; it does not include derivative liabilities.
If the company report treats line-items -for example derivative liabilities and/or short-term investment- differently, then the end result would, of course, change.

Thanks in advance

Wex - GLB has just come on my radar. Looks very solid so will probably be investing in the near future. Thanks for the link to the blog. Visited once already and found it very useful.

And for comparison with other foodies..

(2004 GLB up 34%, CWK 59%, ITF 55%, RFD 54%)

Despite the pension concerns and other doubts expressed above, it still ended 2004 up by a third.

Hi Hypocrite,

How are you getting on?, sorry not been on this board of late, just leaving GLB tucked away for long-term. Noticed Market makers mucking this one about - I am holding for 180-200p.

Hypocrite,

Thanks again for the info, much apreciated. Ive not been trading much on the markets of late, being selling a few stocks recently. Still holding all of me GLB though, stock still looks good value to me and I think the company is worth nearer 500 million.

Chart looking like its breaking out!

Hi Hypocrite,

Thanks for the info mate, like you say GLB listing a bit pointless if MMs only want to trade 1000 shares!

It looks fairly quiet for the moment, when are the next results due?
