I think InterTrader is short (it clearly says so in the paragraph 2) and bought TRS at the same time. Meaning they are long GFIN with less capital???

What Is a Total Return Swap?

A total return swap is a swap agreement in which one party makes payments based on a set rate, either fixed or variable, while the other party makes payments based on the return of an underlying asset, which includes both the income it generates and any capital gains. In total return swaps, the underlying asset, referred to as the reference asset, is usually an equity index, a basket of loans, or bonds. The asset is owned by the party receiving the set rate payment.

Understanding Total Return Swaps

A total return swap allows the party receiving the total return to gain exposure and benefit from a reference asset without actually owning it. These swaps are popular with hedge funds because they provide the benefit of a large exposure to an asset with a minimal cash outlay. The two parties involved in a total return swap are known as the total return payer and the total return receiver.

A total return swap is similar to a bullet swap; however, with a bullet swap, payment is postponed until the swap ends or the position closes.

I will speculate - GFIN will go it alone (great) - for which it needs more funds - and shares will be sold to get the capital needed - shares have to be priced cheap enough for them to be sold (4p) - market share price was getting away - so not many good news and great prospects by BOD and shorting (eg pre selling at no risk and for a certain profit) by an entity (but getting long exposure via TRS)- now here @4p we must stay for some time

all the good news and the prospects will be thrown at the capital increase promotion probably

Not sure that's true. Annual financial report due before end March which should ne exvellent and how do you know no new deals will be made?Given the rate the company have been making deals this is a perplexing comment?Looking into this further it doesn't appear to be a short, looks like a leveraged position is being set up is all.Can anyone clarify exactly what it is?

I would get out of this stock it's dangerous now. Your risk reward is very high in this stock . No news for months out either. So no contracts coming in . No new revenue coming in. I got out at 4.6p if i remember right . Put my money into XRT. Best thing i could have done . Just be carful plus i would never buy back in . Not now
