18/4/2017 12:56 | "The eSports sector continues to grow rapidly. Market analysts Newzoo estimate that the global eSports audience will reach 385 million during 2017, a 19% increase on the prior year, with more and more sponsors and broadcasters seeking to enter the market. Having established a strong reputation for quality and as the only independent and publicly listed eSports company in Europe, Gfinity is well positioned to take advantage of this opportunity." | tidy 2

12/4/2017 15:41 | Hope you don't mind but I have a question based on reading your notes and write up where you seem to be a lone voice against the seemingly ill priced placement. Your concerns seem well founded but whether private investors are included or not a placement price seems to be a message to the market to match that price at some point. I never understand the discount given/demanded when all that happens is that it punishes loyal investors and the price drops to the placement price (unless it is to finance an income creditive acquisition). Anyway from your notes I see they have torn up there future earning figures based on the launch of the elite series which is still a bit unclear at this stage. Reading between the lines this may be capital intensive to start up and require a further call on funds. The question is will they utilise the jump up in the share price to push through another placement (whether open or not is another point)? I love the market and the potential is huge I am unsure of the company's integrity and loyalty. Is there another quoted GFIN out there or can they be trusted? | tiger60

12/4/2017 12:22 | timboo are you still around? | tiger60
11/4/2017 12:28 | Agreed and fair point. | tiger60
11/4/2017 11:43 | yup agree and I like the potential/space and I also agree there are examples of highly valued companies with ground breaking tech or space grab, but just a note of warning was all I was pointing to....revs are v. v. low on this.....they need IMO to start justifying that valuation is all I am saying.. | qs99
11/4/2017 11:20 | But firms like this are not measured by the same yardstick as conventional industries. True cash burn is at the forefront of most investors watch list but the potential growth and number of users/viewers is a key metric. There a number of similar size companies fighting for this potentially huge market with a demographic ideal for advertisers. Consolidation is inevitable. For example, sports clubs around the world are joining the party to expand their brands and diversify their offering alliances will be made and the audience will grow. Interconnected gaming is set not only to stay but to boom. You only have to listen to kids to know where the next generation will be spending their time and money. | tiger60
11/4/2017 10:37 | good moves, however, still not sure how much they are monetising things? £34m market cap and what is cash burn vs cash on balance sheet? Just be careful IMO....but obviously counter to that someone is buying in today! DYOR | qs99
