The Fortnite tournament represents a massive increase in the profile of the entire eSports sector, and news headlinesare extolling the attractions (primarily due to prize money -- higher than Wimbledon winners, and some Premier League players'wages)--

it's almost as though they are legitimising the 'geeky' image of the activity and the gamers -- and making it something to be aspired to, instead.

--imo this represents a sentiment shift, and as ususal, a very interesting time to be in the sector (as it is when such shifts occur in any sector).

-- as far as I am aware, GFIN was not involved in the Fortnite event - (be sure we would have had a well and proper RNS by now, it had been!!)

-- but, imo, GFIN can only benefit from this sentiment (public perception) shift

-- I am not aware of any other outfit, in this ector that is listed in London.

If GFIN manages to get a proper footing on the up-moving eSports escalator, it could breakeven much sooner than expected, imo.

I think facinating time to be in this stock, in THE sector of the moment.

If anyone has any doubts about how big the world gaming market is then all the news items on Fortnite and the huge financial prizes awarded just emphasises and confirms how much money there is in this sector. If prizes are that lucrative then think how big the advertising budgets will be going forward!

Hi GN great to see you here.
Only recently bought in as you know.
I think the sector is really hot and the middle man as we've said before, often gets the dosh.
The only thing, as a slight concern,for me,is the money situation and I hope they don't get in the habit of too many raises.
They reckon that tech fundamentals will begin to be more important as market conditions possibly weaken, so I hope management bear that in mind!

Hazl, thought I would keep you company here too ....you seem to be a lone poster.....the news about Fortnite world cup should bring some needed attention to companies running these events and the recognition of how big the sector is and will become. If gfinity can keep itself liquid for long enough it may well turn into something more positive. One to wait on and I guess not too many barriers to entry for competitors. Still holding here for the potential
