05/4/2016 12:50 | Bargain rating here now, knowing they're having a good second half. Also looking vulnerable to an opportunistic take-over by a bigger operator. | philjeans
05/4/2016 11:33 | This co. has the advantage of being a consultancy in as much as being a supplier geometric mapping info., the issue somewhat that they are the early stage in the analysis process of drilling for oil, however the geological plates around the world are continually shifting, that is more of an analogy, nonetheless oil cos. still need to update their research, there is a market for that, and in the case of this co. a little can go a long way even if budgets are very tight! | bookbroker
05/4/2016 11:24 | I'm more interested in the point at which all that bad news has become stale. You could also view GTC as a minnow that can grow and doesn't need many contracts to change its fortunes. That's compared to an established concern, unlikely to grow much more, whose market is spread so wide that it cannot avoid a widespread downturn, because any good revenue from one area is wiped out by the losses from another. | yump
05/4/2016 11:15 | yump:> But all major & minor oilers are under very severe cash flow pressure and cutting support services if not essential and where they are a must have enforcing price cuts, Not a very encouraging market - Have a look at the THALASSA accounts today. The chairman's statement is (imo) excellent in respect of Oil and Gas. His comments on world debt levels is spot on and (imo) reinforces my worries about a potential debt implosion. Gtech is a minnow in very toxic water and could well take a long time to recover. Quote 27/29 at time of posting. . | pugugly
05/4/2016 09:42 | So sounds like 2 months into this second half, they've probably booked £2mln+ ? 4 months to double that and recover somewhere close to last years turnover... | yump
05/4/2016 08:07 | Wow what happened to 33p? Statement looks OK in the round. Makes sense to pass on dividend | zoolook
05/4/2016 07:29 | All good news imo with the possible exception of the recent acquisition. Very happy with my purchases here. I expect you will see quite a few trades here later in the day | hybrasil
10/2/2016 13:13 | I've sold mine out today. Made a very small profit, but the way the market is at the moment, I'd rather be in cash. | rcturner2
06/1/2016 11:51 | bought my final lot today | hybrasil
06/1/2016 08:00 | Bought back in just before Christmas after 15 months on the side lines. For once I seem to have timed it correctly. Recent posts mirror my views. The resource exploration sector is in dire trouble and FY results warn of 'below expectations' outlook. But there are also hints of optimism too. With a full piggy bank GTC should survive any downturn but the share price movement in the next two years is anyone's guess. | grahamg8
05/1/2016 19:31 | BB and Yump clueless! :)DD | discodave4
05/1/2016 16:45 | Well sellers are getting well inside the spread, so there are buyers out there. | rcturner2
05/1/2016 16:42 | Depends on how their end markets are, much of Globe's revenue comes from early stage projects, they are thin on the ground! | bookbroker
05/1/2016 16:37 | Well and truly missed what looks like the bottom. | yump
05/1/2016 16:23 | Sold some more today | bookbroker
05/1/2016 13:32 | Good to see this coming back off the bottom. | rcturner2
23/12/2015 01:38 | I never worry too much about buying at the bottom or selling at the top. I just try to buy or sell in or around those regions. That said I've just lost about 35% of my value in Anglo American. I just believe these (gtc) to be excellent sense at these levels. Look at the recent directors buys | hybrasil
22/12/2015 18:20 | No, I'm hoping to buy on a fall-back when the trend has changed upwards, although judging by past history, when I wait it will stabilise at a higher price and not come back. Did you notice how, as soon as I posted that I thought there was plenty of time to buy, it went up quite quickly ? Just watch out for me saying it has stabilised - there will be trouble ahead. I need to get some discipline and start doing the opposite of what I post ;-) I like the business and my average is a lot higher (when I thought it had stabilised !!), so I should probably just buy some around this price and have done with it. | yump
22/12/2015 11:10 | someone trying to buy a small few has pushed the price. Was it you yump | hybrasil
22/12/2015 08:11 | I picked up another 20k yesterday, had to go through in two lots. That's it for now. If we get some good news, I will try and double up again. | rcturner2
21/12/2015 19:17 | I keep looking at the price thinking a year or so ahead, but haven't done anything, but perhaps on that time horizon a couple of pence either way isn't really worth worriting about and should just hit the buy button. Judging by the 10%+ rise on £15,000 of trading, stock has been run down. | yump
21/12/2015 10:00 | bought another 10k shares this am. brings my average price down slightly. Looking to sell by dec 17. | hybrasil
21/12/2015 09:00 | DD, thanks. | rcturner2 |
