Yes I agree, a terribly disappointing situation now. It did look very exciting, great potential assets and an experienced new team. I invested just a few months ago and really thought then I was onto a winner. But no sign of the imminent licence since, and total silence from our new CEO who I had a lot of belief in. The BOD have I think failed their shareholders. Now I feel sometimes that it was never going to happen, and might even be a bit of a con!

A year on next week and what do we know other than silence. I got to say it's disgusting situation Mike Struthers, Chief Executive Officer, said "We are obviously pleased to have a group of the calibre of Hannam & Partners assisting us. Georgian has had a number of joint venture or investment proposals presented to us recently, and this could be a pivotal period as we consider these in parallel with continuing to advance our core asset in Georgia towards production. We believe it is important to bring the specialist expertise of Hannam & Partners to the Company at this exciting time. Hannam brings a wealth of contacts, deal structuring expertise and access to large pools of capital. We are looking forward to working with them over coming months.I'm also pleased to report that as a result of some very hard work in close cooperation with our JV partner we have completed our negotiations with the Mining Agency to extend our permit to explore the Bolnisi JV mining concession in Georgia. We are hopeful the new Ministerial appointments will be resolved smoothly and remain confident the necessary approval will be forthcoming, allowing us to push on with our 2018 work programme. We remain confident in and

This one's going out to the, ahem, "gentlemen" of share price Angel and Shard Capital, GEO's esteemed directors and, of course, Eric and the lse ramping crew. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MR15E11VQ8 5t

AndrewS - do you know when the AGM is and where? The problem I have is if this keeps going on without getting resolved, they will run out of money again? And it will be even harder to raise money next time. Also, if they dont get this permit, I suspect they may be too weak financially to get any serious new project off the ground!

I think there is a lot of politics surrounding the Russian JV partners. They appear to have blotted their copy book locally, so have some work to do. You can't fight City Hall, so they will have to toe the line to get their permits to extend their resource to keep going eventually. Long game, but much upside as and when. If deadlocked they can legitimately look elsewhere and would probably be helped by the guys in the government they have a good rapport with. The market cap is £1.7m. Even as an AIM quoted shell they are worth nearly that. Apart from tax why would anyone sell at this level? I look forward to the AGM and will try to go.

Swerves it's the only think I totally agree on with you BLOC have no issues with permits and we are struggling with ours. Is the Georgian government trying to stealOur asset back or the Russians trying to get our half for free?

This is still going downhill unfortunately. Can now BUY at 1.6p! I believe the real power behind the Government don't want this to happen, maybe they have their eye on it and want it for themselves or their associates!! Also I believe that they hate the Russian individuals that own the JV company. There might even be old scores to settle here. Anyway it is a shame because the prospective assets look so good. But if no permit here, what value does the company really have, other than Mike Struthers and Neil O'Brien. They are the key men. They will need to get adequatey paid and rewarded though. If they go, then game probably over! Just see now a large sell come through, probably another delayed trade: 1m @ 1.4p! Or maybe our Mr. 1000% will say this is a buy too! But what is concerning is no sign of any sizable buys for a very long time?

AndrewI'm trying to figure out whose interest it would be to be blocking the permits? Government? No, as they are sure to make a fortune in tax. Jv partners? Maybe? Perhaps they want full control? Most probably a playground fall out between politicians. What's your take on this?I think we all know there is huge potential here but silence fueling ever increasing loss of confidence. An rns detailing revised plans and some honesty over why the delay would be welcomed.Anyway, good to have some new input.Cheers Sean

Block Energy is UK listed company operating in Georgia and they've been doing well, without any permitting issues!

I agree, but I have no doubt that they are not sleeping on the job (as they will want to start getting paid again!), just trapped into not wanting to take pressure off the JV partners by looking elsewhere too obviously, and wanting to get going on a new project? This is why I feel they may get a leg up by the government to another project before too long if permitting issues can't be resolved at the JV partners. It would be a slap in the face of the government's inward investment aspirations if the only quoted European company operating in the country gives up and goes elsewhere! This is not over by a very long shot but as in all things Russian patience is the key.

However you look at it, the management have been really disappointing with the lack of news and communication to private investors over the last 6 months especially.

No trades - buys or sells - since 11am. It's conceivable that the shares have, in point of fact, been suspended. My sympathies to all the genuine PIs. 5t

Thank you. I'm new to ADVFN, so was just checking in! My interest was sparked a year or so ago after a chat with Mike Struthers and I have kept a watchful eye since. Now seems a good entry point for the patient investor. This issue has been grinding on for a while now and the longer it rolls on the more attractive an alternative prospect will become, while not losing the upside from Kvemo Bolnisi even if it is put in stasis. It seems likely there will be an 'event' in the next 6 months and the fact that they were able to raise cash recently encouraged me. Looking back on announcements there were a couple of references to new partners who were interested in committing more funds. These guys will not have gone away, so if they find something worth developing I thunk they may have access to development capital, but they will need to raise their own share of the bill through equity - less of an issue if the concept is already endorsed by industry partners. We'll see. I am betting this gets sorted and these guys seem to have an excellent rapport with the locals.

I have been buying a few shares in expectation of a resolution at some point or the team finding a new prospect to focus attention on in Georgia. There won't be a quick solution to the issues but as it will be impossible to see the change coming I am buying a few and waiting patiently. We know the shares are worth much more than the current price and cash burn is minimal (while management aren't taking any pay) so there is no immediate threat of going bust. A placing to develop new acres will be dilutive but should also see the price higher as it will prove the company is not dead. I am confident that in time (tho no idea how much time!) the Georgians will want this producing and paying taxes. The primary risk seems to me to be a recession turning up before this comes right as that will close the door to new funding for long enough for survival to become an issue. That or this management team giving up, but that doesn't look likely at the moment.

Yes I'm thinking just that: if should take 1.5 - 1.6 now, with a big loss of course, or wait till the end of this fiasco!

All quiet except for the poster who was 1000% certain those big trades were sells! How deluded can someone be? They will probably delay their RNS advising of main shareholder sales until it suits them as usual! Have to say that this so far is the most disappointing company I've ever invested in.

This BB seems to have gone dead! What concerns me is the lack of any buying, even at such low prices. Or has hope just faded away now?
