11/12/2013 16:17 | Tyler, Leaving the macro economics to the side I agree with you. The Koreans (LG) bought into GPK for around £11 a share quite a while back. With the progress that has been made a price in the range £11-£15 would be more appropriate. Cheers, Niels | nielsc
11/12/2013 11:41 | Niels, agree to disagree. Time will tell but IMO interest rates will be on the rise from their historical lows within 18 months or so to counter inflationary pressures. Equities should follow suit as companies begin to show increasing profits. Time to worry for equities is when inflation is threatening to push up interest rates further than expected. As far as GPK is concerned; very much undervalued and feel the US listing will be the catalyst. Heard on the grapevine that trebling of the present price is on the cards within the year! No advice intended but certainly possible; valuation of around £700m is not unreasonable with the progress being made and the expected rise in oil price. | tyler90
11/12/2013 11:22 | Tyler, I don't think the world economy is on a road to recovery. With all the QE that is taking place it will cause the price of oil to rise over time. Yes this company is way undervalued. Cheers, Niels | nielsc
11/12/2013 07:43 | The world economy is going to continue recovering over the next 18-36 months and the price of oil will rise. GPK is positioned really well to benefit from this. A screaming buy IMO but as usual DYOR. Value will out eventually. | tyler90
11/12/2013 07:21 | Another new oil find, must be the most undervalued oil stock on the planet. Most oilers having a pretty hard time of it lately. My other oil holding SIA hasn't done much either and that's nearly as undervalued as GPK and they've begun to return significant cash to shareholders too. You have to be patient, at some point there'll be a rise in the oil price or some event which will trigger value reappraisal. Woody | woodcutter
10/12/2013 17:23 | What has happened to the share purchase programme?Anybody in the know? | tyler90
29/11/2013 16:14 | WC was saying that once debt reduces the share price will pick up. My view is that the NY listing will be the catalyst for this. Time will tell. | tyler90
29/11/2013 16:05 | Tyler, dont know what to think with this. Amazed not a single trade reported today despite a decent set of results. Your post 927 suggested you thought things might start to happen with the share price; any rreason for that thinking? | janeann
29/11/2013 14:35 | GPK EBT have the go ahead to purchase up to 400k shares....so far they have purchased only 50k. Does anybody feel that the pace of purchasing may pick up after the Thanksgiving holiday in the US? | tyler90
29/11/2013 12:12 | Good news from GPK today. The December oil stock competition is now on. Deadline for entry is midnight on Sunday. All the best! fb | flyingbull
29/11/2013 10:20 | GPK's acquisition of 10% of the Brazilian field and further expansion into Brazil should give it the critical mass needed to attract serious interest in USA when the shares go on offer there "in the first half of 2014". So our patience should then be rewarded. | varies
29/11/2013 09:39 | First glance I did think WTF? Reading through, the new Brazilian field isn't included in the headline nmbers as it hasn't completed yet.. | thegreatgeraldo
29/11/2013 09:38 | Thanks Tyler; I am sure you are right. That said while the outlook does seem very promising - and improving - the shares havent exactly performed to date | janeann
29/11/2013 09:25 | Some UK investors do not want to invest in shares listed overseas, which is fair enough. Whether it goes ahead (no reason why it should not) or not there is tremendous upside here. Scenario 1- Listing goes ahead; US investor interest will drive price up or Scenario 2- Listing in NY does not go ahead; UK investors will pile back in again so either way win-win as long as they keep producing results like today. Is that too simple an analysis? | tyler90
29/11/2013 08:45 | Good set of results but no impact at all. Presumably the uncertainty over the proposed move from aim is putting investors off? | janeann
29/11/2013 08:32 | WC, expect to see the share price react much before then-and sooner than most think. | tyler90
29/11/2013 08:26 | Yep very good results but as usual no impact on the share price At some point as the debt reduces we're going to see some handsome dividends coming our way. WC | woodcutter
29/11/2013 08:08 | Good solid results and heading towards 20000 boepd. Also good to see further interest in Brazil. Happy to hold and accumulate. As usual IMHO and DYOR. | tyler90
15/11/2013 09:15 | The 3Q update is out around the end of this month so they may have some good news from this testing by then. Fingers xed!The brokers (and GPK!) are not doing the small pi's any favours by dropping the bid price to squeeze more shares for their buy back scheme. I suppose that is capitalism! Lol!They can purchase up to 400k but have so far managed only 20k and they have until the end of December. Come on GPK, put your money where your mouth is and pay the fair value price for the stock. | tyler90
14/11/2013 22:43 | From Parex's Q3 report released after hours yesterday, they are preparing to test Tigana-1 & Tigana Sur-1 on LLA-34 (GPK 45%). Both wells have been cased & they will be testing the Mirador and Guadalupe formations | thegreatgeraldo
31/10/2013 09:19 | well, we're on the move now :-)) WC | woodcutter
29/10/2013 17:18 | I suppose by sanctioning a buy back they are saying that it is undervalued at present & I agree. I am predicting over subscription of the US placing hence tremendous upside from here. I will try to accumulate as funds allow. All IMHO and DYOR. From last year but worth a read. | tyler90
29/10/2013 17:03 | T90 Yes thought about and even got a quote - I think they might reach 600+ on this buy back. But I think I'm going to wait until I see what happens with US placing. I see this move as part of the sales pitch for the US placing. If they have a target price they will want the UK preplacing price to be North of that I assume unless they can convince US investors that Geopark is currently undervalued by the market. The US placing price will set a benchmark/floor/comf Still think this is a great company and a little sad to be sat in the stands watching, rather than on the pitch playing! SJ | sailing john
29/10/2013 16:49 | They must feel that they are getting them at a good price if GPK EBT is given the green light to purchase up to 400,000. SJ you tempted to jump back in again? | tyler90 |
