13/1/2009 17:19 | Just reading a writeup on Faroe Ex. tipped in the i/c this year. One phrase that took my interest was the comments about the area around the Faroes & the Norwegian sector. Stated to be the site of the last really big fields in off-shore western europe, with the norwegian region very unexplored. Looking at the web-site map GPC is dead on the ball. | haydock

25/11/2008 21:42 | Good post haydock, I've recently got back in after selling out around 50p, current average 15p. cant see any bad news to cause this drop so I'm hoping it will recover to mid 30s in the next few months at least | dvsfm
24/11/2008 13:46 | I have been following this lot for the last few months & they are without a shadow of a doubt the leading catalyst in M&a in the N.Sea. They have the clout to take what they want, but it will galvanise others & prices will be set. They ar clearly unconcerned by the fluctuating price, as they know this is a golden chance & it will all come out in the wash. This is the start of a new trend, but the market as usual is asleep in London, & scared daft to boot. Regards H. | haydock
24/11/2008 13:45 | A Very significant find from Skyship TAQA interview: "Now is buying time," he said. "There are several distressed companies and we are interested in corporate acquisitions. The majors are still under pressure from the government to do something with their assets so we would expect them to continue the divestment of their less- loved assets. Then there is the traditional route of licence applications, some exploration and some appraisal work. | haydock
15/11/2008 11:15 | There are many oilers out there currently trading well below cash, it is increasingly possible GPC is heading in that direction by the looks of things imo Anyone know where cash is ? must be around 9p ? | jimarilo
14/11/2008 09:33 | Well, the market seems thrilled with the news eh....NOT | rdpounder
13/11/2008 17:20 | Borrowed from NPE. GPC would appear to be in the thick of all this with 9/9d award. SH presentation share fair 10 exhibition Aberdeen 11th November | haydock
13/11/2008 11:06 | Commenting on the awards, Michael Haagaard, Chief Operating Officer said: "These awards are great news and of significant strategic importance to Genesis. Not only will they add new play concepts to an already exciting project portfolio but also increase the Company's net un-risked recoverable resources significantly. Need I say more!!!! | haydock

The Licenses which comprise 11 blocks were awarded to the Company's subsidiary Genesis Exploration & Production Ltd., and Lundin Heather Ltd., ('Lundin Petroleum'). 12/11/2008 18:16 | Apolgies to the regulars, Lundin are our usual partner. | haydock
12/11/2008 18:12 | We seem to have this company on board :Lundin : Swedish oufit producing 39000/day & aquisitive. | haydock
12/11/2008 18:01 | This looks to a layman, very interesting. {All shared awards.} Awards in blocks 210, multiple at the n.end of a block which contains: Otter, Hudson, Kestral & Cormorant. Dana is active in this area & won blocks to the more developed south. Awards in 219/220 just to the north of this block : N of the Magnus field. Award 9/9d This is in the fashionable 9 block & right in the thick of the action, Nr. Keith & Bruce. Perhaps somebody better qualified than myself could comment, but it does not look bad news, for once. | haydock |
