29/4/2018 20:06 | log , no updated cpr wrt to peshkabir has been released yet , currently pesh oil is trucked to tawke export facility after being produced through temporary test facilities , until such time as the planned drilling and test programme is completed I don't envisage an increased cpr , should be a main driver once the numbers have been crunched though. | d1nga
29/4/2018 18:26 | I see the targets set out by Align Research back in Dec 2016 have been hit for both Genl(£2.00) and Gkp (£1.80). Next targets set in Aug 2017 were £2.31 and £2.00 respectively. | kulvinder
29/4/2018 10:34 | Love squid on the barbie.... short term target here 260p. | panagos
29/4/2018 08:43 | squib not squid... a damp squib is a cotton-cloth based trigger..if it's a wet squib it's a wet trigger than won't ignite..used on old muskets | gersemi
28/4/2018 08:28 | Has Genel it DNO published any estimated reserve values for Pesh or do we need to wait for an updated CPR on all of Tawke? | loglorry1
27/4/2018 18:53 | would be dead if it wasnt damp ! | arab3
27/4/2018 16:55 | A bit of a damp squid this stock at the moment compared to GKP. | kulvinder
27/4/2018 11:04 | Thanks nice..I guess number one was exploration well. | karateboy
26/4/2018 22:40 | It`s Peshkabir 1 that disappeared! From final results: `Cash-generative oil assets The receipt of 4.5% of gross Tawke PSC revenues means that the positive performance of Peshkabir adds material cash flow to Genel. The successful Peshkabir-2 well was followed by the equally successful Peshkabir-3 well, and production of c.5,000 bopd from the former was commingled with the latter to end the year at a very consistent 15,000 bopd from the field. Working with the operator, we will continue to focus on Peshkabir in 2018. The Peshkabir-4 well spud in February, and will potentially be followed by a further five wells in 2018. Field production is expected by the operator to reach 30,000 bopd by the summer and continue to ramp up in the second half of the year. This is very encouraging, and when added to the robust production from the main Tawke field, highly cash-generative.` | nicebut
26/4/2018 21:32 | IT didn't mentioned number 3 well in peshkabir. Well number 1&2 producing 15000 barrel a day, 4 in production testing, 5 currently at about 2200 meter and drilling, 6 spudded last week also will be testing deeper regions. What about number 3? My guess is share price hitting £3 by end of 2018 and £4 in 2019. that is my minimum expectations. | karateboy
26/4/2018 19:58 | Oil price, Jersey Oil & Gas, Genel Energy - Posted on 26 April 2018 'Genel Energy Readers will know that I have been much more positive on GENL in recent months and today’s Tawke PSC updates gives a clue to all the good things going on at the company at the moment. The company announce that 15/- b/d of production from 2 Peshkabir wells is to be co-mingled with 90/- b/d from Tawke to be exported through Turkey. Meanwhile three new wells at Peshkabir have been fast-tracked with the 4 well on production testing, the 5 well drilling ahead at 2,250m and the 6 well spudded last week and will also be an exploration well for the deeper Triassic formation. All looking good and i’m looking forward to a big session with the company’s senior management next week.' malcy's blog | gersemi
26/4/2018 09:16 | @nicebut it's an odd one. It's obviously a cash camel but its not easy to value still. It's a relative simple business on one level which produces loads of cash but then you have to factor in things like political risk, the gas assets, how big will Pesh get? etc. etc. and these have a massive effect on valuation. There are a lot of big holders in the equity and I think they probably know a lot more about it than us. Fingers crossed. Log | loglorry1
26/4/2018 08:45 | Big players joining the fray seen a lot of large trades recently on 25k and 50k buys becoming common.Choo Choo !!!! | sparky333
26/4/2018 08:34 | loglorry1, How would you value GENL? | nicebut
26/4/2018 08:34 | Loggy - yes, I know, but the ave price/bk for the top 20 is about 1.6 & I just ask if 0.38 for GENL is fair?? j | jswjsw
26/4/2018 08:30 | D1nga since I recently bought a clip of bonds I'd rather they wiped out net debt but I see what you mean. No point in comparisons with Soco and pmo. The PSC/tax terms are so radically different and the political risk is totally different too. | loglorry1
26/4/2018 08:20 | If you value GENL like SIA (same cap) it comes to around £5. If you value GENL like PMO (why not!!!??) then you more like £8... I know they're in diff areas, but are the risks that diff??? j | jswjsw
26/4/2018 08:19 | yes log , that net debt could be wiped out very quickly if they wanted , but I think they may have a pop at the early oil from the miran field on their own , which is what I'd prefer tbh. | d1nga
26/4/2018 08:15 | Yep, Sparky. Apart from Ophir (yes ...well ...) GENL has the lowest book value multiple in the whole list of producers above £250m. It's around 0.37 which is ridiculous for a co coming out with stuff like this. j | jswjsw
26/4/2018 08:13 | Train leaving the ststion and all that....looks like 260p by end of moneth is achievable. | panagos
26/4/2018 08:12 | 15kbopd from 2 Pesh wells with 4 to add could bring in a further 30kbopd or 7.5bopd net to Genel ? | loglorry1
26/4/2018 07:45 | Choo choo. This is on,y going one direction over the next several months. So 1 Pesh well will be pumping very soon with another not far behind. If all 3 gushers could be upto 40-50k with the 3rd a couple of months behind.POO at 3 year highs as wellChoo Choo the cash train is leaving the station. | sparky333
26/4/2018 07:28 | Excellent! | someuwin
