Receipt of payments for KRI oil sales Genel Energy plc ('Genel' or 'the Company') announces that payments have been received from the Kurdistan Regional Government for oil sales during July 2020. The Taq Taq partners have received a gross payment of $4.7 million, with Genel's net share of the payment being $2.6 million. The Tawke partners have received a gross payment of $35.8 million, with Genel's net share of the payment being $8.7 million.

Genel is fundamentally very strong .

Looked across to NOG and its woes ; they can not service their debt ;

26th august 2020 RNS extract;

"An event of default has occurred under the terms of the indenture governing its 8.0% Senior Notes due 2022 (the "2022 Notes") issued by Nostrum Oil & Gas Finance B.V. (the "Issuer") resulting from the Issuer's non-payment of interest due and payable on 25 July 2020 to the holders of the 2022 Notes and the expiration of the 30-day grace period which commenced on the same date. The Issuer also did not pay interest on its 7.0% Senior Notes due 2025 (the "2025 Notes") when due and the 30-day grace period in respect of such payment is continuing. The Issuer does not expect to make such interest payment at the end of the grace period."

18th August results RNS reported;

"Net debt of US$1,063.9 million at 30 June 2020. "
Rather a lot.

NOG is not looking good .


Compare to Genel which is one of the most financially sound O & G company's out there;

distributions and making the investment to bring Sarta to production this
year - is a testament to our resilience, and we have today confirmed an

The only chart I regularly look at for clues as to where this sizable producer is going; is the Brent chart.
Today looking good going forward with Brent at $45.31

Could easily put on a pound a share and it would still be a worthy investment.

I agree Losses; how many oilers finances are so robust?

5c ( circa 3.8p) interim dividend to come. Ex dividend date 12.11.20 to be paid 11.12.20.

Having received the final 10c earlier in the year I am well happy with the yield here.
