What would you be looking to do now.

Get rid of Genel & GKP to the big boys...

Keep things exactly as they are, steadily increasing oil and Gas production.

Exploit the gas paste haste....

Keep production where it is due to Opec etc...

Try and get Roseneft/Gazprom to take over fields and run the whole show or most.

Be interesting which way they go and worth remembering they call ALL the shots......Not us DNO/GKP.

But if the KRG won`t green light the new light oil FDP, because they want the Gas developed, what more can Genel do? They are between a rock and hard place re the gas- but coining it in...which is at least very good.

(One of ) The plans was to fully utilise the 4.5% of gross TAWKE production, to really get as much FCF as possible, which is working, it would appear....I am sure we will find out tomorrow how much they are making.

Opec production cut how started and could go deeper if required.
Saudis need oil over 80$ a barell and have stated they will do whatever is necessary
Shale facing debt, pipeline and longevity of oil production.
Iranian barrels coming off the market as orders cancelled and deeper sanctions kick in.
Worldwide demand much higher than anticipated touching 100m BOPD
Future oil shortfall now very likely due to historical lack of investment.

Rosneft has lent KRG up to 3$ billion, building several Gas pipelines

Payment increases due to payment "R" factor worth over 400$ million
Free Cash huge for a company our size

GENL are rightly just taking the cash until the KRG and or their supposed gas partner (Rosneft?) are given the green light...and make the decisions. It`s clearly out of GENL`s hands.

Really? That’s an odd response. If there is materially significant news from those wells then DNO would have to announce it. They are the operator so GENL can’t say anything but surely they know what is going on?

I spoke to Andrew at Genel. I was wondering why DNO have stopped talking to Genel, or so it appears. Last year or end of `17 there was so much news about Pesh but that has completely dried up this last quarter. I wondered why? Perhaps its to do with their TO of Faroe. I dunno- Why would they stop updating about Pesh. By my reckoning there are two wells that they havn`t RNSed re testing Pesh 6+8.

From Oct RNS:
`The other, Peshkabir-6, drilled as a production well, but with the
additional objective of appraising deeper formations, has established a
deeper Cretaceous oil/water contact level than previously estimated. Further
testing is underway, including test production of multiple producing zones.

The Peshkabir-8 well, spud in late August, is drilling ahead at 2,325
meters. Once completed, the rig will move to spud Peshkabir-9 in November.`

A few on LSE yesterday talking about Genel doing a RI to pay for something....Which, strangely, is exactly what has been suggested might happen to PMO in the ST business this morning- That PMO are bidding to buy N sea assets from Chevron- Sorry cant post article.

How much cash does Genel have? c400m?
