07/8/2024 07:07:16 | Another big stone. 5 diamonds sold for more than US$1.0 million each, generating revenue of US$18.6 million during the 1st quarter Period. | genises
07/8/2024 07:02:58 | Thought that. Sounds a really nice stone they've RNS'd today and the ninth this year. | bad gateway
23/7/2024 10:24:38 | MMs appear very cautious here considering the stones found? | davethehorse
18/7/2024 12:44:31 | Last time mid August. Also not much notice perhaps a week or so. | mindthestash
18/7/2024 09:52:44 | Around mid Aug usually | davethehorse
16/7/2024 13:54:14 | When's update day? | boonkoh
16/7/2024 10:56:47 | Any guesses to the share price on update day? | davethehorse
09/7/2024 20:45:37 | Obviously no such problem for GEMD regarding large stones. | dcroston
09/7/2024 14:59:19 | PDL under share price pressure | davethehorse
09/7/2024 12:47:27 | Next update could have a triple boost.- Profit expectations upgrade due to large stones- lower net debt due to large stones- Bank refinancing completed (due to lower gross debt levels and improving P&L)Normally you get one or two together, but if all three come out.... It'll be like an early Christmas. | boonkoh
09/7/2024 11:57:23 | I think the first priority should be getting rid of the short term debt, either by conversion to longer term or by paying off or both. MM will be well aware of this. | caiman47
08/7/2024 08:54:08 | Agree, they are unlikely to give it away to shareholders, it normally just "disappears", pay off debt, directors etc | davethehorse
06/7/2024 09:49:40 | dcr You are forgetting the first priority of this board going back a few years. Money for directors before shareholders. I hope things have changed. I can't see a divi here with smaller stone market so poorand reckon it'll be dedt repayment maint and capex.
However your second point is a good one and might tip the balance. How many larger stones below the reporting requirement? Interesting..... | mindthestash
05/7/2024 20:29:59 | Oh, and I wonder how many big stones just under 100ct....I'll guess 10 maybe. | dcroston
05/7/2024 17:12:54 | Will be interesting to see what GEMD do with half yearly profits. Could be one or more of the following.
1. Special dividend (guessing in the range of 2-3p per share).
2. Share buy back (price, anyone's guess)
3. Pay off short-term debt rather than convert to Long-term loan as suggested.
Let's get to August and see what awaits shareholders.
Personally, I'd be happy if they paid off the debt and keep things rolling.
Hopefully, one more big stone before then. | dcroston
04/7/2024 10:45:21 | A still dire diamond index and still falling....http://www.idexonline.com/diamond_prices_index | davethehorse
04/7/2024 10:14:25 | wont be long | citys2874
02/7/2024 14:54:30 | We won't. Most investors still don't put 2+2 together and work out 8 large diamonds in 6 months = record year to come. Also they don't bother working out how much each diamond is worth. And that is all goes to the bottom line...The only time this will go 20p+ is if the company issues profit guidance or the HY or FY results come out. | boonkoh
