Anyone that has done his homework knows there are a lot of more reasons why uranium should rebound.
It's unbelievable it hasn't and once again most uranium stocks are heading south again.
It's just because spot doesn't really improve while it should. It's not a real market, it's manipulated but everybody is looking at it as if it has real meaning.

A positive I see is that uranium long PI's on BB's are questioning if the "promised" revival will ever come as talks of that has been going on for years.
One can not disregard the fact that everything seems to point to a massive upwards move. The current situation is not sustainable.

Would like to hear more news about the Kazatomprom IPO this (?) year. They're really going to need a better spot price to make it a succesfull IPO. Is their Swiss trade subsidiary active on the (spot) market? One would expect them to, influencing the spot price in a positive way.

It's all pretty incredible that spot price remains so weak.
I keep adding and adding uranium plays as the more I read about the situation the more I get the feeling it can (and should) end any day now.

Anyway, BOL all fellow uranium longs!

I know what you mean. I've been adding and adding to all my uranium plays. Uranium is going to take off. No doubt. It could be next week, next month, tomorrow, but it will happen soon. Better be in than out. GL (not that you're going to need that)!

I love a nice quiet board. Topped up again this morning. I'm now holding a nice round 50k of these, plus subs, and am happy to sit back and watch as events unfold. Good luck to all

Re GCS v GCL speaking to the suggestion above of overvaluation.

As predicted the time value of the geared instrument is already doing a great job of reducing volatility, essential for leveraged investments. This works best when you know the story is going to be positive but just don't know when. The npv of the fund today is of only minor interest. If I'd maintained a margined position based on the Ord I'd have been forced out by now as its hard to withstand short term weakness. Share buyers without leverage looking out 3 years need have less concern.

Think-tank highlights potential of Small Modular Reactors to meet energy needs

Small nuclear-powered modular reactors could be “crucial”; in decarbonising the energy system, according to the latest report from the Policy Exchange think tank. The paper said that solar and wind alone could not be used to meet the increased demand from electric vehicles and increased electrification of the heat and transport sectors

Still expecting further weakness in GCL which still at a premium to NAV.
Massive out performance by the Subs which remain very overvalued, presumably due to very limited liquidity.
Continue to follow this very interesting sector notwithstanding the many false dawns....

Sitting tight on GCS for the long term. Able to dip buy if needs be. Nice to not have to worry about daily moves in the Ord. Researching individual stocks for the freedom portfolio sometime in H1 2018. It's a truly fascinating sector. I've got my list today of the universe of options and those available in uk through ig and hl (watch the forex costs!). Some producers flexible enough to ramp up production when price allows and some locations ripe for large scale takeover. Need some 10x minnows too. It's good but patchy coverage in uk. Enjoying the project. My geography of Canada in particular is improving albeit from a very low base. Anyone got a full list of GC holdings or favorite management teams?

Maybe. Huge volume today though. Maybe 4th highest ever? That's bound to move the price, but I wonder what's prompting it?

even if the 500k was a worked sell, over several days, they've done well to shift that volume without trashing the price - especially when you look at the stock trends above

Who knew that Westinghouse was sold to Brookfield Business Partners? Surely this is major news, considering what happened to uranium companies after Westinghouse fell into Chapter 11 last March. This is an important step for a recovery in uranium prices - the continued building of AP1000 reactors in the US and around the world.

The other news that URG and UUUU are pressing the US Dept of Commerce for "a level playing field" with U308 imports may also influence prices going forward. How might the Russians and Kazakhstan react if the US restricts imports of U308? It's getting complicated.

Personally, I still expect highs in the sector before February and again in April.

Thanks ronconomics. There shouldn't have been any doubt as subs have been allowed in ISAs for years.

Agree re short term consolidation likely. Hope it is only short term and this doesn't turn out to be yet another year the uranium bulls are wrong. At least this time there is some evidence (e.g Cameco and Kazakhstan production cuts) to back up their case.

Presume by "rights stopped rising" is referring to the sub shares. I'm hoping they'll get cheaper for a while.
