SPRP's results have been greatly flattered by a tax credit. If you tax @30% the pre-tax profit I get £0.55M which puts it on a PER of 9 based current price. This may be overly prudent but its the way I prefer it. Howerver if it hits this years forecasts then its cheap.
Also they had cash of £1M, net working capital about £0.5M and creditors of £3.5M so I dont think you can realistically strip out the cash.

You think these are cheap, I will point out another small cap that posted results yesterday, which pretty much went unnoticed. However you can be sure some of the small cap tip sheets will be commenting. Get in before they do.

Market cap 4.88mil
Profit 1 mil
HISTORIC PE 4.9
FORWARD PE 2.4
FORWARD PE DISCOUNTING CASH HELD 1.9
PROFITS GROWTH PROJECTED AT 100% IN 08
Results Statement makes reference to strong 1st qtr already under their belts.
Very resilient sector to downturn in consumer spending. Also people aren't moving but are home improving in my book so could help.
Cash 1.05 mil held - strong cash generative business.
Had one of write off of 120K in first half that won't be repeated.
String of new contracts / deals announced last year that will not have fully fed through to 2nd half results (which were profits > 800k).
These will make c 2mil profits this year.
Retained losses means no tax charge for a while yet.

...There will be 4,398,500 Ordinary Shares held in treasury, and
therefore the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights in the Company

Market cap is correct.

Go to voting rights and see there's 40 odd million shares in issue
so 7 mil market cap is right.

...just checked .... no, for once it's more than it should be .... Market Cap is £ 6.8 mill

39 .... on a FORWARD PE .... the way the market values all stocks .... future not present .... with a minimum (as they stated) £2 mill profit .... versus a £ 6.8 mill current Market Cap

= 3.4 ....

I wish my stocks traded on pe of 10, actually i think that applies
to most profitable penny stocks, not many of them actually get that
fair rating in this market.
