21/11/2006 13:53 | Kidney, You may remember we had a similar discussion shortly before the current 17% rise. Whilst I expect a more substantial rerating I expect that rerating to be based on an RNS announcement from the company. kidney - 24 Oct'06 - 11:17 - 321 of 366 Brilliant growth possibilities yet the share price hardly moved on results and has been flat for the last two months. Am amazed that these have become such dull shares to own.As there is so little interest in this company,I have decided not to top up.I cannot stand holding shares that hardly move. lol to all patient holders. scburbs - 24 Oct'06 - 15:00 - 324 of 366 edit Kidney, Lack of move is somewhat frustrating. However, it provides excellent opportunities for those of us who think GKR is significantly undervalued to build a more significant position. I am regularly routing funds as they become available to top up my position. The key things with stocks like this is they can lie dormant for a long time, but when they move they move quickly. If you think the next move is down then best to get out, but if you think the company has good prospects then best to take advantage of the prolonged lull to top up. At the latest you probably only have to wait until January 2007 for the H2 trading statement. My guess is that there will be a significant move up on or before this statement. | scburbs
21/11/2006 13:52 | I've sold, for a small profit. Might get back in at some point once all my SIPP funds have come through. This one seems more suited to a long-term SIPP portfolio than my trading portfolio where it was. That said, I've traded it twice, for a good overall return, so maybe it offers something for the long-termers and the traders alike... | wiganer
21/11/2006 13:50 | Kidney, LOL! I think that is a bit harsh. The shares have risen 17% in a few days on the back of no news. I would suggest you hold on for the trading update in early January as this could trigger the start of the rerating. Having been a holder for longer than me I can understand why you are less happy with the share than me (as I only started buying in the low 40's). Other than the last few days GKR has made its best efforts to bore me to tears since I started buying, but my response has simply been to buy some more! The share is good value and the business is performing exceptionally well. However, during its early period it did have a few disappointments and, therefore, it is taking a while to get back on people's radar. Once it does it should move up strongly IMO. | scburbs
21/11/2006 12:54 | I am very disappointed with this share still at IPO levels from two year's ago. Disinterested market reaction to last results, which I considered to be worthy of a decent share price rise. This recent little rally has come to a sudden full stop.Seemed to be no reason for recent movements upwards and simply beyond me why the buying has dried up. I have to admit that I am going to sell this as soon as I can.I bought at 57p and have my broker's % on top. So,I can't see any profit in this for me.Last time I buy a share in a company that has only two year's trading to show.Last time I buy an "american company" on LSE. Could their competitor mentioned above buy them out? | kidney
20/11/2006 11:05 | Thanks guys. Might help the MM's out with the spread on a top up if I can free some funds. | terry91
20/11/2006 10:56 | Terry91, My personal medium term target for next year is c.90p. I don't have my calculations to hand for how I got to this, but I think is was ballpark eps 4.5p*20 (rating of 20 to reflect high growth nature and the fact that the group has 10p per share in cash). | scburbs
20/11/2006 10:50 | Where to though? edit MM try a little shake 1 mm drops the offer 3 bid 1 offer. | terry91
20/11/2006 10:38 | Excellent performance by GKR lately and all the more profitable for having been preceded by the long lull to enable significant positions to be built. | scburbs
20/11/2006 10:34 | MM's dont seem to want buyes now they widen the spread as much s possible on this stock. All MM's the same now 4 v 4. I can see it moving very quickly when more buys start to come in and the spread has to narrow. | terry91
17/11/2006 12:11 | I can only get 1k on line. Thats no use to me, any volume here and it could get very interesting. L2 showing 1 on 51p, 1 on 52, 1 on 53, and 1 on 54p | terry91
17/11/2006 10:55 | Thanks been watching for a while bought twice. Could be a right little Gem. MM's do seem to want stock. With volume this could really go. Thanks for the info I guess with that sort of % held not many at all in free float. | terry91
17/11/2006 10:16 | terry - must be a big buyer in the market willing to pay over the odds - may be the German fund that bought around 11% earlier in the year or maybe someone else. Directors own 60% so not many shares about. Company appears to be doing very well so not many tempted to sell at these levels. | arthurly
17/11/2006 09:42 | L2 strong 1 on every offer so any volume should move the share well. Why all the action of late? | terry91
17/11/2006 09:35 | up a further 5% today, though no trades printed so far | mikehardman
16/11/2006 13:39 | I had 10,000 filled at 46p. The remaining 40,000 is unlikely to be filled given the move up. | scburbs
16/11/2006 12:37 | Great rise on a few small buys.Moving averages look good for a spike up on no news! Will we see 58p this time or will profit takers/mms stop this little rally at 50p? Do we get results or a trading statement in January 2007? LOL to all patient holders and thankyou for keeping the faith on this nice little BB. | kidney
16/11/2006 12:16 | Yup. The good thing about GKR is when it goes it goes. | wiganer
16/11/2006 12:04 | looks like MM's have got no stock to speak of. | arthurly
16/11/2006 11:39 | Hmmm. I'm guessing that my £500pp order at 46p this morning is not going to be filled. I think the seller has gone and we could move up sharply from here. | scburbs
16/11/2006 10:28 | Up again! Blimey O'Reilly! | wiganer
15/11/2006 18:56 | Wow! Just goes to show how strong the market is at the moment when even GKR moves up! | scburbs
11/11/2006 17:30 | Nope - tried to get some info and even paid a charge over the internet (re Carttronics) but still nothing came up. They're definately the only real competition imho. I'd forget everyone else. (Big rivalry between the two Californian companies) They are the only two RFID companies in trolley security.. The killer application will be when one of them manages to sell a management information system imho , which tracks where each cart goes. I know IBM can already do this but I think they are looking to when each cart has a keypad and screen and products are automatically scanned into the cart. Ads will be flashed onto each screen depending upon which aisle each cart is in. If GKR could get a part of that action in a couple of years time they could be in a totally different league. PS Even if they don't, if many carts have screens and keypads in a few years time there will be much bigger incentives for supermarkets to use Gatekeeper to protect their carts. | arthurly
11/11/2006 15:46 | It would seem that Carttronics is their main competitor. They claim 2000 sites use their products. Can't find any comparative figure for GKR. Difficult to compare Carttronics with GKR otherwise since the former is a private company and therefore does not publish accounts or financials. They are active in Europe too but since their European office appears to be run from somebodies private home I would suspect that GKR have a much more substantial European operation. Anyone got any other information about Carttronics ? | masurenguy |
