I see GAN is moving to new offices in Central London at the end of June 2018.

Trust and integrity will be the watchwords for all operators across the gambling spectrum in the USA as the country sees the birth of a new industry. Those trusted operators will be embraced and that will command a premium in itself

The Times yesterday reported rumours that 888 were eyeing up FSB for acquisition.

FSB run an omnichannel betting and gaming technology platform.

I wouldn't have thought it will be long before GAN comes under similar scrutiny, though the Smurfits won't want to sell at this exciting stage unless the price is pretty stunning.

WEB had a market cap of £3m - a rerate to a multiple of that was always on the cards. GAN has clear potential and in all likelihood far more than WEB, but it wasn't priced at such a ridiculous discount as WEB to begin with.

Like to see this multiply like WEB did this week for sure! I find it difficult to get a proper handle on WEB potential (no pun intended) whereas this feels a clearer opportunity given at the very least sportsbooks will drive more customers to the casinos, which is where GAN live.

SCSW = Small Company Sharewatch -

it's a share-tipping magazine (once per month) with a superb reputation for picking high growth stocks. It's been in existence now for years so it's track record is pretty good - it's well followed

They tipped GAN way back in 2015 - now the US ban's been lifted they may revisit GAN. Then again they may not....so we shall see

thanks

That's the first press tip (the Mail always deliver good gains) we've had since the US-SC decision. It won't be the last. I bet SCSW revisits its 2015 recommendation of GAN now US betting's been given the go-ahead

I believe GAN will be 200p by end 2019

66p = 45m market cap

132p = 90m market cap

198p = 135m market cap

--

I also believe 2 things may happen

A placing to finance greater expansion (I prefer this one) or
A takeover by a bigger player

A new industry is being born in the US and GAN is positioned to benefit massively - things can only get bigger

The Daily Mail's always tends to deliver a pump to investor excitement with their write-ups.

A few snippets from Jackson at PPBF -

Some US states may legalise sports betting by autumn, opening potential new markets for businesses such as Paddy Power Betfair, the Irish group’s chief executive, Peter Jackson, predicted on Friday.

The US supreme court this week struck down a federal law banning individual states – outside Nevada and a handful of others – from legalising betting on sports such as football and baseball games.

The move is likely to benefit the Irish gambling giant and its rivals. Market analysts believe their expertise will be an advantage when it comes to bidding for licences in states that decide to legalise.

Speaking after Paddy Power Betfair’s annual general meeting, Mr Jackson said that some states, including New Jersey where the group already has a business, could license sports betting by the autumn.

“I think the reality is that New Jersey will be live in a few months time, their hope is that there will be businesses on the ground taking bets in advance of the NFL season, which starts in September,” he said.
Ready to go

Mr Jackson added that others, such as West Virginia and Missouri, had legislation ready to go, while New York was also weighing the possibility of allowing sports betting.

He estimated the states likely to legalise sports betting could account for around one-third of the US population, implying a market of more than 100 million.

Mr Jackson predicted that new US markets were more likely to graduate straight to smartphones and other such devices rather than relying on large bookie shop chains.

Paddy Power Betfair already has a substantial business in the US, where it operates horse racing TV channel and online betting network TVG, and an online casino and betting exchange in New Jersey. Betting on racing is legal in the US.

According to Mr Jackson, the company has around 10 per cent of the US horseracing market. Its businesses there had revenues of $140 million last year, the group’s results show.
Merger

Paddy Power Betfair is also in talks with fantasy US sports business Fanduel about a possible merger with Draft, the startup that the Irish company bought last year. Mr Jackson said he could not comment on those discussions.

GAN are featured in today's Daily Mail as Share Punt of the week....which should bring in some more interest.

It's interesting that they say the "real opportunity" lies in simulated gaming. With EBITDA forecast to explode this and next year due to simulated gaming I was quite happy being invested here even before the PASPA repeal. With high recurring revenues from this business, I suspect GAN would quickly have become a very attractive investment proposition anyway:

"SHARE PUNT OF THE WEEK: AIM-listed Gan provides gaming software which can be used online through desktops and apps
Published: 21:50, 18 May 2018

WHO IS IT? AIM-listed Gan provides gaming software which can be used online through desktops and apps. Customers include Paddy Power Betfair and a number of US casinos.

WHAT’S THE LATEST? UK gaming companies suffered a setback this week as the maximum stake on fixed-odds betting machines was slashed from £100 to £2.

But in the US, gaming and sports betting is a growing industry, and this week the US Supreme Court ended a 26-year ban on betting on professional and college sports.

Gan, which provides companies with the tools to provide betting services, could be a major beneficiary of this decision.

WHO BACKS IT? One of the largest shareholders is activist investor Odey Asset Management. The hedge fund has a 4.1 per cent stake in the business. Investment group Artemis is also among its backers, with a 4.6 per cent stake.

The largest shareholders are chief executive Dermot Stopford Smurfit Jr and non-executive Michael Smurfit Jr, who between them own more than 20 per cent of the shares.

WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST The end of the gambling ban in the US is good news for Gan, and analysts at Liberum and Davy believe it will have a positive impact on revenue.

But experts say the real opportunity is in so-called simulated gaming, where users buy virtual credits to bet through an app and are paid in reward points.

AND WHY YOU SHOULDN’T Gaming and gambling are highly regulated, and it takes only one rule change to alter the investment outlook.

For a fast-growing business such as Gan, the key is going to be securing the right partnerships and hanging on to them in a fiercely competitive space."

cheers fillipe - yes, the US Supreme Court decision should generate more broker interest and tips from various mags and tip-sheets - fingers crossed for a SCSW update or maybe Techinvest

not many shares in free float here so there's a higher degree of volatility - any substantial news and 100p will be gone in a flash - of course the opposite can happen also but that's the risk of equity investing

GAN/SCSW.

SCSW covered Game Account Network as a New Issue, from Dec 2013, through until May 2015 @ 66.5p....... quite a significant share price there!!

From memory, I think their reviews and comments were always positive and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see GAN mentioned in their next edition on June 9th, 2018.

All stocks now have three intra day auctions (8.50 - 9.00, 10.50 - 11.00 and 1.50 - 2.00). This can show up as unusual highs or lows on the chart during those times. Very annoying!
