08/1/2019 17:38 | The news flow for this company and the sector is likely to be very consistent this year - and the release will likely be in the main meaningfully linked to revenues switching on or new clients signing on.Personally I am intrigued to see if they can successfully enforce their patent against a cited infringer in the next few months. Do that and you could see a very different "sales" dynamic for this business. | noujay
08/1/2019 14:53 | Added a few the last couple of days. News is getting too good not to buy below 50p. I thought it might go lower but there is positive news every day it seems. | barnetpeter
08/1/2019 14:22 | Thanks for the info re the record Italian revenues Noujay - GAN should be feeling the benefit there. Bit of a coup here for SB Tech, with a nice mention for GAN: "Gavin Isaacs Joins SBTech As Chairman To Drive US Sports Betting Expansion Joss Wood on Jan 2, 2019 SBTech has a new Non-Executive Chairman in Gavin Isaacs, the former CEO of Scientific Games (SG). The company is making the appointment to firm up its credentials in the rapidly growing US market. SBTech CEO Richard Carter said: We’re thrilled that someone of Gavin’s calibre, credibility and experience has chosen to join SBTech. This is a huge coup for the business. Gavin’s two decades of successfully leading, transforming, and acquiring some of the biggest businesses in the gaming sector will be a massive advantage for us, particularly in the US where we have already partnered and gone live with several large brands across multiple states and where there are many more opportunities to grow. Sizing up the US market The sports betting opportunity may be enormous, but the US market is intensely competitive. One of SBTech’s biggest competitors is Isaacs’ former employer, SG. SG is partnered with Caesars and has sports betting up and running in casinos in New Jersey and Mississippi. Caesars’ Pennsylvania property Harrah’s will open for sports betting soon, with SG again providing the sports betting platform. SBTech advancing rapidly across the US Isaacs will definitely help counter the competition, but SBTech is already making a significant mark on the US market. SBTech operates sportsbooks in New Jersey for Churchill Downs, Resorts Atlantic City and the Golden Nugget. In Mississippi, the company has three locations up and running: Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa in Greenville Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Vicksburg Golden Nugget Casino in Biloxi The first two are operated by Churchill Downs and use the BetAmerica brand, which it will also launch in Pennsylvania. Churchill Downs recently took over the Presque Isle Downs casino and has submitted a sports betting application to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) naming SBTech as its partner. SBTech, GAN have an even bigger footprint In a prescient move, months before the Supreme Court ruling on PASPA, SBTech formed a partnership with GAN. The deal signed in January 2018 announced the companies would integrate their technology for sports betting: “SBTech’ On top of the Pennsylvania properties served by SBTech, GAN has partnerships with the Valley Forge Casino and the Parx Casino. The PGCB gave both approval to offer sports betting. SBTech believes Isaacs’ deep knowledge of the industry and long-established personal relationships will be invaluable in making these partnerships succeed. Something stated explicitly in his own comments on the new appointment: “I was approached by a number of companies since leaving Scientific Games, however I chose to join SBTech due to its, superior technology, high standards across every discipline, entrepreneurial approach and incredible ambition and potential to grow further across a wide variety of regulated markets including the US where I am based and have an extensive network, knowledge and experience.” | rivaldo

08/1/2019 11:39 | Parx set to begin Pennsylvania sports betting trial 8 January 2019 Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment is set to begin a two-day test of its sports betting at its Parx Casino and Racing complex just outside Philadelphia later today (January 8). The venue will offer limited services to retail customers for two 10-hour periods today and tomorrow (January 9). Should this test be completed without a hitch, it will then be given the go-ahead for the official launch of its Kambi-powered sportsbook on Thursday (January 10). Parx Casino senior vice president of interactive gaming and sports Matthew Cullen said he was confident that the venue would be cleared for launch. He predicted huge interest in sports betting as a result of the city’s American football team the Philadelphia Eagles progressing in the National Football League playoffs. “The Eagles winning last night cemented things for us,” he said. “We knew it was going to be a very busy week, based on the appetite [for legal wagering] we’ve seen in New Jersey and with other operators in Pennsylvania. Now the Eagles will be continuing in the playoffs, we expect to see even more activity.” Should Parx, Pennsylvania’s largest casino gaming facility, roll out sports betting as planned, Greenwood Gaming then plans to repeat the testing and launch process next week, for its South Philadelphia Turf Club betting parlour. This venue is located in Philadelphia’s major league sports neighbourhood, next to Citizen’s Bank Field, home of the city’s baseball team the Phillies, and the Lincoln Financial Field and Stadium, where the Philadelphia Eagles play. The operator had its sports betting licence application approved by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) in October last year, with its sports betting technology supplier Kambi then certified in late November. Parx Casino and the South Philadelphia Turf Club look set to become the fourth and fifth venues to launch sports betting. The pair will follow Penn National Gaming’s William Hill-powered offering at the Hollywood Casino, which launched in November, and the Rush Street-operated, Kambi-powered SugarHouse and Rivers casinos, which launched on December 15. | cottoner
07/1/2019 19:13 | And something else for those interested - Italian Internet revenues were up 20.3% in December to set a new market record of 70m.For reference, GAN's 9 Italian operator clients "represent more than forty-five per cent of Italy's total Internet casino gaming market by Gross Gaming Revenue." 07/1/2019 12:27 | Quietly happening alongside the buzz about Parx sports betting launching this week is the integration of Fanduel sports betting with the Betfair Internet Casino.DraftKings have started moving to integrate casino games as well so interesting to see the direction things appear to be heading. Almost certainly the Betfair Internet Casino will be rebranded as Fanduel shortly and GAN form a core part of it.https://www.njgam | noujay

07/1/2019 06:25 | extract Parx Casino said it planned on launching its sportsbook in January. They are wasting no time heeding that promise. Philly.com reports that Parx Casino plans on opening the Parx Sportsbook on Tuesday, Jan. 8. That date means there is a chance Philadelphia Eagles fans will not get an opportunity to bet on the reigning Super Bowl champions this season. The Eagles travel to Chicago to take on the Chicago Bears and the NFL’s best defense Sunday. The Bears are six-point favorites. Should the Eagles advance though, Parx would greatly benefit from Eagles fever. Parx Senior Vice President of Interactive Gaming and Sports Matthew Cullen certainly hopes another Philadelphia run is in the cards. But even if it is not, Cullen told Philly.com things will be exciting in Bensalem: “The market is insane for [the Eagles], as we’ve seen at the SugarHouse and at Rivers [in Pittsburgh] and in New Jersey. But even if they’re out, people are still gonna want to bet [football]. But it would be great if they were playing.” ==================== Note : The Eagles beat the Bears last night and advance. | cottoner

30/12/2018 12:49 | If anyone fancies a go at share picking here's a link.... No prizes, just a bit of fun. | busterdog2
28/12/2018 16:25 | Brownie - think it’s worth pointing out that GAN is up around 40% this year, whereas GVC which you also comment on, is down around 20%. | busterdog2
27/12/2018 11:25 | All chugging nicely in the right direction I don't think there's too much to worry about here with the model and the company direction, from which the revenues are and will continue to flow.If patience isn't your thing then perhaps other shares will suit better but for 2019 this feels as good a bet as any.As Bookbroker points out, their market positioning alone makes this compelling - as a target down the line IMO. And potentially not that far down the line either.Brownie - surprised you didn't have a crack at the Italian tax angle and the impact there..that and having bad partners..etc etc! | noujay |
