That is so true - unfortunately it took me years to learn that! Must have ruled out dozens of companies whose share price has since multiplied purely because it didn't meet my valuation criteria. Still, you live and learn.

I agree mate - it's a very solid company. Re valuations - I am far more flexible these days as premium companies command a premium price. Would rather pay for Messi than Peter Crouch these days, so to speak. Good luck.

Its a smashing company is GAMA, Tongosti. Been on my watchlist for years & always considered it too expensive, but finally bit the bullet and paid up during the rebound in early April,figuring the company wouldn't be too badly hit by the pandemic. This has been confirmed by the subsequent trading statements. Hope to be holding these for a while, good luck here.

Broadly speaking, wider markets are responsible for about 50% of individual stock moves. Sectors are responsible for about 30% and only about 20% is idiosyncratic in nature.

In other words, unless the wider markets and respective sector are going up, it is v difficult for individual stocks to sustain an up move.

I keep track of my one month rolling returns for each sector and the one GAMA is in has been challenged over the most recent 22d window.

I like the fact that GAMA has been the best performing stock over the last 22days in its sector but unless we see a broader participation, the odds are this may turn out to be a false breakout.

No follow up so far on a day wider markets are going up. Sector's one month performance negative with only this company being in the black. Warning sign of a false bo? Watching very carefully as managing risk is the name of the game.

What a difference half an hour makes. Volumes traded today is 200% higher than the 50 day avg. Bodes well.

Been waiting for a pullback following the acquisition but just not really seen one so had to get in early today. Expecting to hold these for a long time as seems to be a continuously high performing and growing business.

Another excellent update. 93% recurring revenue, minimal cancellations, no increase in bad debts, EBITDA and EPS for full year to exceed consensus, dividend maintained.
