I think the loss was forecast by PH to be £0.9m so its a good result verses the expectation that the house broker had set. The departure of Southern is harder to weigh up. He had been in charge during much of the downturn before the business was cleaned up. Overall I'm neutral to him leaving but clearly the market has either got a different view, or a big holder has used todays trading news to dump stock into the market.

Pretty sure these figures are ahead of the shop's expectations but the sudden CEO exit is a shock. Pity it couldn't have been handled better. Patrick Southon holds 4.4% of the equity and could well be a tap for a while. 2.2m traded so far today but av daily vol less than 300k.

I think it was people loading up on the premise that things had turned around sufficiently to at least breakeven - if not provide a small profit. Surmise they have seen two things - loss and departure therefore - dump and run.

Yeah it will be. I'm guessing the powers that be see him as essential to GMRs continued success.

Must be reading another set of results. Ahead of expectations - great future 2020 and beyond...is it down because of Patrick leaving ?

A good "steady as she goes" type announcement. I reckon expectation was 0.9m loss so its very positive on the trading front. The loss of a CEO is always a surprise but its true Southern made his name at Cashcade (Foxy Bingo) a B2C business. Hes been part of the turnaround too, so I wish him well. Looking for a positive reaction from the market.

Nice The Company expects to report FY19 revenue modestly ahead of the Board's expectations. This encouraging performance has been driven primarily by the Company's content licensing business, which has continued to go from strength to strength, with eight new licensing agreements added during FY19. Due to this revenue performance and the continuing control of costs, the Company anticipates reporting a FY19 adjusted EBITDA loss of approximately GBP0.5m.The Company expects to report its FY19 Preliminary Results during the week commencing 13th April 2020.

The fall is totally overdone. First the number of UK adults with credit cards only is circa 10%, the rest already have debit cards as well. The more committed gamblers will simply get debit cards, or use alternative payment solutions such as wallets eg Paypal. Secondly as other have said GMR is not an operator, and many of its licensees are not in the UK and thus totally unaffected. Currently down circa 15% on an impact that might only be 3 or 4%.

This is a license play now so the fact that credit cards can't be used won't effect it at all. I agree credit cards shouldn't be used and didn't Think they were used much online.

I don't think this has a major impact on GMR. They develop and license games, they are not a B2C operator. Also they do this internationally, not just for UK. Think this fall is way way overdone
