Maybe not, it's irrelevant anyway. If you want to buy and hold stocks crack on.

But I absolutely think he has a TA department! Er, no he hasn't.

Pseudo science and phoney maths aka tea leaves and pointy hats. Designed to give the illusion of certainty in an inherently uncertain pursuit. Hence it's attraction to the most numerate for whom numbers provide a high degree of certainty and comfort. I'm pretty sure that Warren Buffett does not use technical analysis and those that do - speculators and traders - eventually blow up. I worked on trading floors too long. A correlation is a correlation until it's no longer correlated.

According to the tea leaves, 28.00 was below the 200 MA. All you did was - sensibly in my book - buy when others were fearful, which is the best way to invest.

If you think TA is rubbish you're doing it wrong. Charts are visual representation of the emotions and buying/selling of everyone involved, don't expect to be able to read German if you've never bothered to learn it. Moving averages are lagging indicators and only useful to form a rule set around, not my thing though.Bought back in at 2800 last week, based on TA.

w1, nobody has advised you to sell or buy based on the chart. Each investor chooses their own information on which to invest or divest.
Charts are factual data. How we interpret the information is up to each person.

I was a Chartered Mathematician until I retired and have great respect for technical analysis (or tea leaves if you prefer).
I used technical analysis extensively during the 1990's when I traded regularly in stocks and currencies.

I've been slightly surprised by the recent weakness in the share price, GAW declining even more than the market. Presumably there has has been an element of profit taking. However the business should benefit from the devaluation of the pound.

For the first time since 2016, the share price has moved quite decisively below the 200-day SMA. This will be picked up by the trading apps. Let's hope there are so many other trading alternatives we will not get noticed in the noise.

They say the GBP is the barometer for market sentiment on where Brexit is at at any point. Against most currencies it's near a 12 month low. Against the Euro it's not too bad as the Euro suffers too with Brexit anxiety. It's in the lower quartile though. The USD is particularly important for GAW, where GBP is now getting close to its 12 month low, which is good for GAW.GBP has fallen 8.5% against NZD in the past five to six weeks, which makes your planned holiday to NZ a bit more expensive. No impact on GAW though, just thought I'd mention it.

Well done Fred. Go easy on the red.Markets and all investors at the mercy of the US DOW and Nasdaq which can't shake off the negative sentiment and overall anxiety about their economic growth.DOW is again below where it started the year - this is the fifth time it has fallen below where it started.Trump thinks he's clever bullying other nations and can't recognise the damage he's doing. He would rather blame others when things go wrong, he never questions his own unhinged behaviour.

We only refurbished 7 stores last financial year, so rebranding existing stores is clearly not a priority. The 43 new stores would all be branded Warhammer I guess."In 2017/18 we invested £1.4 million in shop fits: 43 new stores and 7 refurbishments."

It was briefly discussed at the last but one AGM, got the impression it was primarily down to cost across 500 srores. I don't think it has a significant impact on sales and it certainly didn't appear top of Kevin's priorities. Could well be they don't bother if approaching the last couple of years of the lease?

The historic PER is now 15.59 according to advfn. That's not high if we are still in growth mode.

Looks to be the highest ranked of the more expensive games. Under the Strategy genre we also see Mechanicus right up there. They may be rebranding stores based on lease term. It would make re-negotiation with the landlord harder if you've recently invested in rebranding the store. The landlord then knows you want to stay.

Total War remarkably high in the list for a 12 month old release selling at full price. Required for the newly released Curse of the Vulture Coast extension.
