Total War remarkably high in the list for a 12 month old release selling at full price. Required for the newly released Curse of the Vulture Coast extension.

Primarily because they're frugal - new signage introduced for store moves and refurbs.

GAW is slowly rebranding its UK stores for at least a year at this point. Not sure why they do it so slowly. hxxps://www.retail-week.com/main-navigation/games-workshop-to-rebrand-stores-warhammer/7018262.article?authent=1

Here is the full two day programme schedule for MelloLondon including Keith Ashworth Lord who is one of the biggest investors in Games Workshop via his Buffetology fund and almost certain to highlight Games Workshop in his keynote speaking session..

It is jam packed full of about 75 company presentations, lots of top quality speakers and panel sessions plus workshops to help with investment style and techniques etc.

The pre event fun starts on the Sunday evening with a dinner and investor quiz hosted by John Lee but the main conference begins on Monday 26th November at 9am through to Tuesday 27th in the evening so do come and join us as there are still 97 tickets left...

See you there.

I sold out near the peak on this but considering heading back in. Does anyone have the low down on the Warhammer: Total War and Vermintide progress?

The whole thing has been a series of big gambles. The referendum was a big gamble by Cameron and he lost. The election was a big gamble by May and she lost. Brexit is a big gamble by the UK. It's like negotiating an exit package with your company after you have resigned. Who has the upper hand? What are you likely to leave with?

I have...........but they didn't look like those girls :-)

Another snippet:

Space Marine Heroes which were released previously only in Japan (They are a random collectable set of 9 in each series) are being rolled out in all geographies.

Hoping they go as well as the Warhammer Champions Cards.

Noticed the exchange rate thanks but think it might firm a bit yet especially with a Brexit deal almost done !

Enjoy your weekend !

WH Quest pre-orders start this week.

A good thing about all these releases is the brand is in your face all the time.

"Another "threat" to Games Workshop's business that has often been put forth as a point of concern is the rise of video games."

That's been trotted out for the last 20 years or so.

Back to the real business ...

Seeking Alpha ran an article (written by Money Bowl)

Toy Soldiers Are A High Margin Business For Games Workshop

7 pages so click to next page at end

I rushed through to the end ...
Risks
The company has seen a massive spike in revenue/profits in 2017 and 2018. It is unlikely that the company will be able to continue this rate of growth as much of the benefits seem to be related to the restructuring of the business that started in 2015.

I'd suspect they are also old ones that are discounted (heavily).

If you look on Steam there are loads of 2015 Warhammer games that you can play for free, others you can buy for £1 or so, all the way up to bigger newer ones costing £40.

The real money in computer games is nearly all made in the first months/year.
