Quite shocked to see it back below £23.00. Would be able to understand if it wasn't for the Interims, they looked great to me. The trading update thing confuses me because they put one out in January last year, and one in early February, the first Monday of the month. That is this Monday coming so why the sudden panic? Is it just following with the rest of the market?

I was thinking of adding, because it has almost dropped £22.50, but after that support is more or less £20.00. I can't tell where its gonna go.

What's everyone doing/thinking?

Yes, certainly could be about the dog that barked in the night. With GAW one just never knows when we will hear how things are going, albeit their H1 results were positive about December trading.

Now more than 15% off the 28-Dec-17 close of £26.89. The only negative I can see is the change in the exchange rate against USD but I am not sure that justifies such a big fall. Forecast yield now back over 5%.

Thoughts welcome.

Hi Rhom,

I did pop in to my local store last week. The local manager though plays a very straight bat to any financial questioning. A delivery had arrived and he was busy filling shelves so I had a quick look through the open boxes. It looked like the Maggotkin of Nurgle new stuff had sold well but obviously a very small sample.

My gut feeling is UK stores are doing ok - still hitting targets with tougher H2 comparables but are probably the slowest growing part of the business so are not necessarily representative of the whole sales picture.

I think I need to pop into another store to get a less on message manager :-)

They apply a rule base similar to the games they produce. Namely they roll some dice and consult a table of results to see when to issue an update, if at all.

I'd wager a dividend declaration with possible trading update in mid-Feb.

No trading update in January. The only predictable thing about GAW is its unpredictability. We only have the trading update given with the Interims, which was very positive: "Our sales for the month of December have also shown good growth trends."

Do the Divi payment days ever have a noticeable affect on share price? With the amount reinvested one would of thought this was a possibility?

Possibility of a Head and Shoulders pattern with eod close below approx 2370
TP would be the prior breakaway gap support zone approx 2150
Last time this happened, it was a great buying op.

Nod,I wondered that as well and called my broker in case I had missed something on my system. GAW do like putting out their trading update RNS's out at different and unexpected times, it must infuriate the MM's as they loose their ability to get ahead of the curve, but good for us PI's. I reread their recent half year report and feel more convinced than ever that the next trading statement will be very good, another dividend would be a lovely treat as well. GLA holders.

There doesn't seem to be much appetite for selling below 2500.This suggests that most investors are now happy to hold for the longer term and short traders fear getting caught out by the next trading update and possible dividend that attracts buyers.
