Modest crumbs of comfort:-

1. On 21 October 2015 Martyn Gibbs, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, notified the Company that on 21 October 2015, he purchased 15,000 ordinary shares of GBP0.01 each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at 200.6 pence per Ordinary Share; and

2. On 21 October 2015 Mark Gifford, Chief Financial Officer of the Company, notified the Company that on 21 October 2015, he purchased 10,000 Ordinary Shares at 200.6 pence per Ordinary Share.

Following these transactions, Martyn Gibbs has an interest in 1,459,911 Ordinary Shares and Mark Gifford has an interest in 10,000 Ordinary Shares representing 0.86% and 0.01% of the Company's issued Ordinary Share capital respectively. This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4(1).

Well the brokers sit at 270-290. To me it doesn't seem expensive into 240-260 as long as the signals are right on consumer spending. To break out into 275+ would take some serious momentum/positive sentiment/strong trading updates i guess..

Good point on the tax, i just had a look again.

Yes from here it feels like a play on their higher margin products delivering nicely into Xmas.

Cheers Hutchpod. Am new to the stock, and thought the results looked okay this morning hence the reason for buying. Adj EPS was in line with broker forecasts, albeit it was flattered by a slightly lower tax charge.

I bought a little stock this am. Looks good value, with a decent divi yield, with net cash and a robust balance sheet. Agree earnings have been sluggish but cash generation has been good.

Do you guys hold stock too?

Hutch give FDEV a look - they are a developer rather than retailer.
Things starting to take shape nicely - one to tuck away.

The year's dividend is actually 14.7p, ignornig the additional special dividend of 14.7p..

Current P/E of 11 with a dividend yield of around 3.75%. Not exactly expensive in the current equity market.

At first glance after stripping out exceptional charges GMD has a problem of no apparent prospect of year on year growth in earnings.

Are market forces seriously planning on orchestrating a bear raid because of an absence of buying interest ?

Maybe. Stranger things have happened.

Group performance overview

The second half of the year saw a robust trading period for the Group, with a good uplift in gross margin and a positive EBITDA contribution, in line with expectations and ahead of the breakeven EBITDA reported in H2 2014.

Revenues excluding hardware were up over 7% in the second half, with gross margin on content sales up by over 300 basis points, boosted by a significant increase in digital sales, which rose by 16% in the half. Preowned and other non-hardware sales were also up strongly.
