I did well when they cleared £3/share and sold at just about the right time. Had considered going back in 12 months ago. I have other interests in aviation.

sky_high30 - the only post I can see that you've made here or anywhere else, so it looks like you're party to this one way or another.

Cheers twirl, looks encouraging.

As for the prior comment re Europe, the H1'17 results summarised performance as rather good:

"Europe Air operational efficiency initiatives completed in 2016 have produced strong improvements in gross profit and EBITDA margins"

"Europe Ground showed modest revenue growth and improved profitability"

And:

"The 2016 acquisitions of Aviation Beauport and FlyerTech, in Europe Ground and Europe Air respectively, are performing above expectations"

Gama has lost a number of aircraft management contracts in Europe - seemingly also the one for the aircraft shown in the ST article having had a look at the CAA website, which I find ironic.

Given the two powers involved I suspect this is going to go on a long, long time.

If GMAA was not performing operationally it would be losing contracts. Ex Director saving face with new company to avoid paying outstanding? Old news.

Rivaldo - noted your comment on Green reputation which is probably known in the industry whatever it is.

Unfortunately it seems to me that if the company puts in a provision for a claim, that
surely must help to justify it, so the fact that no provision has been made, doesn't surprise me. The auditors must have known about this claim and presumably were satisfied with the answers provided by the company.

GMAA had an excellent H1'17, as evidenced by the rise in the share price since they were published. This despite the claims which were first made between Nov'16 and Feb'17.

It seems that GMAA were able to operate extremely well without this being any kind of distraction. Given the bullish outlook, I suspect this will continue to be the case, especially judging by the tone of today's RNS.

Other customers may not like to see this and move their business away from GAMA. Doubt Mr Green wants any more negative publicity or who manages his Private Jet being written about in the UK press.

Legal battles cost a lot more than just money - they are a major distraction for management and brings a more defensive approach to the way they handle things.

The battles also take a lot longer to resolve than one would expect and often head off into new directions. Costs escalate, as the legal teams have little interest to resolve issues.

In markets sentiment is key and this will weigh down GMAA. share price will drop a lot further and languish till there is greater clarity...sorry

My rule of thumb is to get out at the first whiff of legal issues...

Good luck all :)

What an absurd markdown. The m/cap has fallen by £9m on the basis of claims for only £6.1m, for which GMAA and their advisers deemed it prudent to provide precisely....NIL. Presumably the claims are seen as frivolous to say the least.

Yep, seems like a rather minor distraction imo. I seem to remember Dryden had a rather dodgy reputation. This simply seems like a minor spat - GMAA are only after £432k from Dryden, so for him to counterclaim for a lot more indicates he's simply trying it on and bitter after falling out with GMAA'a management post-merger.

Isn't it peculiar that when you'd think the price should be going up after the short termers have exited, it goes down marginally. That didn't make sense to me until now.

Then you read about this possible court case, making it official 'news', probably after a few weeks of rumours doing the rounds.

Samll PI's haven't a clue, and rarely see a level playing field. AIM is a cesspit.

Today's ST, might just be a distraction, unwelcome publicity though.

Great finish today, with lots of late afternoon buying, ending up with buys at 259.5p, after 15k bought at 255p which perhaps cleared a seller.

New recent highs now, but still lots to go for imo.

Agreed. We've seen this before in GMAA, and it's just a case of being patient.

The share price has doubled from the lows in less than a year, so there is bound to be a profit-taker or two.

I'm confident that this re-rating will continue. As these results are absorbed by the institutions over the next few weeks we will hopefully see further buying.

Someone sold 63k worth, yesterday. so its looking like overhang to clear at the £1.51 mark before these move upwards.
