22/5/2019 08:48 | pilkersa Learn from this thread to spot a pump and dumper. In my own case I sold for a 20% rise in the space of about a week. Too good to resist taking a profit. The pumping actually helped me to make a profit so I guess I can't be too critical.. FWIW once the off take agreement is made you should do well. Timelines can become stretched where CB is involved to say the least. GL. | sleveen

21/5/2019 14:26 | *article from 2011*Eighteen months ago Colin Bird, a mining entrepreneur with more than 40 years of experience as an engineer and explorer, sold Zambian copper-nickel group Kiwara plc to Canada's First Quantum for £158 million. As Kiwara's largest shareholder, Bird might have been forgiven for putting his feet up. However, as chairman of Jubilee Platinum (LON:JLP) and with interests in several other operators, including a directorship of Africa-focused oil group SacOil Holdings (LON:SAC), there was little chance of that. In September he brought his latest project to the Alternative Investment Market in the form of Galileo Resources (LON:GLR), a rare earths business boasting 3 million tons of potentially exploitable stockpiles in South Africa. Despite market conditions that Bird describes as the worst he can remember, a listing of the £23m market cap business offers an intriguing option for investors to buy in to the rare earths sector which fifteen years ago very few mining groups took any interest in. | mreyeguy

21/5/2019 13:06 | *PAST RNS HIGHLIGHTS* 27 April 2016Galileo Resources Plc("Galileo" or "the Company") Update on Concordia Copper Mineralisation Galileo (AIM: GLR), the exploration and development mining company, is pleased to announce a previous exploration area, namely Rietberg, one of several areas within the Concordia project area (Project Area) has been identified from the extensive exploration data base (Data Base), acquired by way of the Cooperation and Joint Venture Agreement with Shirley Hayes, IPK (Pty) Ltd, to host a population of holes drilled to examine the presence of copper and its association with mineralisation type. The O'okiep Copper Company Ltd (OCC) generated, in the early 1970s, the drill hole data, on which this release reports, and such data reveal high-grade copper mineralisation near to surface. Highlights from Rietberg include · The area is approximately 10km northwest from the previously reported Wheal Julia modelled area· Wide mineralised weighted-average copper (Cu) runs greater than 50 metres (m) and up to 100 m thick range from 0.49% Cu (92m) to 1.83 % Cu (53m) - Table 2 below · High grade intersections with a 0.35% Cu cut-off applied are numerous with significantly thick intersections· Most holes over 1.0% Cu within 100m of the surface. Most impressive intersections include 11.0m at 5.0% Cu within 25m of surface, 18.3m at 2.68% Cu from 64m and 64.3m at 1.11% Cu from 70m· 3D and resource estimate modeling to commence early May· Other Concordia areas emerging with similar characteristics to Rietberg· Copper mineralisation strongly associated with diorite rock type, which was previously considered low grade and therefore uninteresting at the time prevailing. | mreyeguy |
