Well the traders have taken their profit and moved on, but it was nice to see some buying during the last half hour or so and that 250k buy reported after the close.

It's a great deal for GLR, reduces risk but leaves huge upside exposure and let's another company do all the work. I think Sandfire will find something as they have been very successful with exploration in the Kalahari and no the geology very well.

This also puts a price on KAV's land package, right? Because now one can ascribe a ball park figure based on this deal.

Yep, Colin also pointed out that on the retained licenses there's a dome structure with 37km of conductor. That alone should underpin the current market cap, never mind the upside from the deal, and as Zak Mir pointed out the license sale is effectively a fundraising at a good premium to the recent market price, which is very, very rare these days and gives a solid indication that GLR has been historically under valued.

Colin also mentions news to come on Star Zinc and Glenover with another party doing testwork at the latter right at the moment and states that GLR has been 'grossly undervalued for some time.

Judging by the 300k uncrossing trade at 11 am at 2.38p I am thinking that the MMs are currently hiding buys for later release.

Sounds great to me, we offload some licenses for more than we paid for them and if they contain enough copper to become commercial, we gain a success fee of between $0-$80M. They may even be able to help and advise on our retained licenses on the basis that they would stand to benefit on those by purchasing off us. I think we should have bagged at least on that news. But there you go, the weak will leave and us stayers will multi bag in due course

I wasn’t aware of any rumour but it’s a complex RNS and takes time to absorb the full significance of it. Great that it also releases $1.5m cash which can be used to bring forward the other assets though, so I’m definitely in here for the long haul now.

Didn't expect to be able to top up at 2.45p after that news. The irrationalality of markets is quite wonderful sometimes.

It’s a fantastic deal for the company and the 2.68 exchange price should put a long term floor under the share price with massive potential upside. The company has also managed to retain its preferred licences in the Kalahari as a future ‘banker’ which will inflate in value even if left unexplored, subject to Sandfire being successful with the assets it has bought into. I just can’t understand how anyone would be stupid enough to sell below the exchange price when the company also has plenty of upside potential from its other assets.

It would make more financial sense to do a fund raise after the ML in order to secure a higher issue price. CB ain't daft.

Some profit taking on this morning's rise but buyers are back in force now with 4 v 2 on level 2, so playing out exactly as one would expect and consolidating nicely ahead of news.
