I know Dalradian haven't received planning permission for there underground mine, and cyanidation processing plant- and it's unlikely they will. But surely they must have some level of permit for the existing operation? After all they have already extracted 15,000 tonnes of ore in a bulk sample.

Dalradian does not have a valid mining permit.

Galantas has.

I think Brexit does have an effect too.

Re: More and more gold being found, which of course is no real surprise. How on earth is this company valued at less than £12 million! Complete madness.... Strangely they are not a jam tomorrow company, they are actually producing gold. Wakes wakes Mr. Market!

That's probably down to all the shenanigans that Dalradian are up to at the moment..
Don't you read the local press?

The conc was going to Xstrata/Glencor. I thought that was until the end of 2018 with the new offtaker a trader (Ocean Partners UK Ltd) - with the prefinance facility. I hadn't seem anything definitive as to where it would be going and assumed trader would choose? my assumption of it no longer being tied to the canadian smelter may be wrong

The concentrate goes to a smelter in Canada; they have a long term deal.

I am considering ploughing in to buy some more. When I last got the RSP prices, they were favourable to the bid side so MMs are looking a little short!

My guess is minimally

concentrate leaves Belfast - but going to where now? with new offtake - hopefully FOB and not are problem.

Gas/Electricity market could be impacted so possible impact on costs but minimal

access to Irish licences in terms of travel and working there could be slightly affeced but currently these are minimal value.

The same in Canada. Exchange rate 1,74-1,75. Closing price 12 cents in Canada and 6,5 here so not much difference.

The market cap here is absolutely ridiculous. The Canada price is a little more realistic but still not really good enough....

Thought I would flag the excellent PBS America (Freeview channel 94) Grant Williams documentary on gold. Called "Gold: The Story of Man's 6,000 Year Obsession", it's just shy of an hour long.

The bonus is, there is a part 2. I've not watched that one yet. The second bonus is that in Part 1, Ross Beaty is interviewed at ~25 mins, so if you want to know what he looks and sounds like...

If you missed out, there are two ways of watching them.

You can join Real Vision (I joined early, I just overlooked it). Or, they're being repeated on PBS:

Gold: The Story of Man's 6,000 Year Obsession

2:55PM, Sunday 20 Jan. Part 1
4:05PM, Sunday 20 Jan. Part 2

They are also being repeated late that night / early morning.

Gold price flying + GBP getting hammered. Fantastic mix for GBP reporting gold producers.

I agree with you. GW / Miton are strong institutional hands. Good to see the new Director buy as well.
It is a detailed read but positive. The stock looks locked up.

So, Miton taking a big lump in the placing. I think that rather encouraging. Note that Gervais Williams ran the v successful Irish Investment Trust and other funds which invested in Ireland while in his long tenure at Gartmore.

"The second part of the Private Placement requires acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange and is anticipated to be for 22,564,935 Common Shares for receipt of CDN$1,946,226 (UKGBP1,128,247) (the "Second Closing"). The Second Closing pertains to Miton Asset Management Limited ("Miton"), a UK based investment institution, who has subscribed for a total of 50,000,000 Common Shares in total under the Private Placement, representing 16.68% of the Company's issued and outstanding Common Shares after the First Closing, Second Closing and the issuance of the Arrangement (as defined below). The TSX Venture Exchange imposes due diligence requirements on persons becoming an insider and acquiring 10% or more of an issuer's shares. As a result, on the First Closing and issuance of the Arrangement (noted below), Miton has been issued 27,435,065 Common Shares or 9.9% of the Company's issued and outstanding Common Shares. On completion of the Second Closing and subject to TSX Venture Exchange acceptance, Miton would become an insider of the Company by acquiring an additional 22,564,935 Common Shares on the Second Closing and would be the only subscriber in the Second Closing of the Private Placement."
