18/8/2015 12:33 | Yes thanks to garbetklb for his valuable insight but IMV they have gone some way to resolve some of those issues. | battlebus2
18/8/2015 12:26 | Good luck both. I was quite tempted to put a toe back in the water yesterday myself, as I can see the attractions of a risk/reward play at current levels. My main difficulty is that the Company has so much "form" producing RNS announcements describing how wonderful everything is, when clearly that has not been the case. Garbetklb has produced some devastating critiques of the company on this thread (worth trawling back for, or even better using the "search" facility), and I don't believe the concerns raised have been effectively challenged or debunked. I cannot see myself ever really trusting what the Company says again - too much smoke and mirrors - and I would thus not have the confidence to build a substantial position. I shall settle for continuing to watch from the sidelines as an educative experience. Hope it works out well for you. | saucepan
18/8/2015 12:18 | It may look like we have seen a substantial rise since yesterdays announcement but imv the market had it priced so low it's a long way back imv... door etc | battlebus2
18/8/2015 12:01 | Licking my wounds with this one SJ but i've been adding as it looks like we are now on a more secure footing. | battlebus2
18/8/2015 11:41 | Bought in this morning - the statement yesterday provides quite a bit of comfort about claims and capital. I see you are here already Battlebus. GL - SJ | sailing john
18/8/2015 08:28 | Think they could get back to 40p fairly quickly. No equity issue and solvency II issue to be sorted and everything else on track. We know this years profits will be affected by the reserving provision but from next year this will be out the way and profits expected to rebound. £1 by XMAS 2016 LOL Pinky where are you mate ! | the shuffle man
18/8/2015 08:10 | So pleased I had to say it twice :)) | battlebus2
18/8/2015 08:08 | Gaining momentum this morning, our long term faith may well be rewarded.. | battlebus2

17/8/2015 10:27 | I hope you do well - it bounced off the first technical buy zone I suggested (although rejected by this board at the time) - I just hate dirs & bkrs that lie or lie by omission/silence - and looking at the chart - so does the mkt (a concept I suggested at around 70p also rejected by this board at the time). But good luck with your oh so accurate unbiased foresight | luckymouse
17/8/2015 07:37 | Nice movement Take a look at IRG too it could blow quite soon and only £1.5mill. | apfindley
17/8/2015 07:28 | Lots of negative posts recently by short term traders who have moved on but can't resist coming back and putting the boot in, or else those for whom GAH given its small size and short operating period as an insurance company is never going to meet their required risk profile. I was happy to hold throughout the last 12 months disappointing claims experience on the basis that the price reaction was overdone and have added this morning on the positive update with "claims experience in line with expectations." | valhamos
17/8/2015 07:08 | Likewise bb | scottishfield
17/8/2015 07:07 | I bought 20k as a punt on what appears good news but I still don't trust them. Just found it odd that no markup whatsoever on price at open. | stegrego
17/8/2015 07:04 | Added a few more at the off..... | battlebus2
17/8/2015 06:23 | Looks like lucky mouse comments were made 'seconds" before this mornings RNS arrived ; - ) Congratulations all holders, you certainly deserve this excellent news! Regards GHF | glasshalfull
17/8/2015 06:12 | Looks like they are taking notice to me. Workiing on solvency rules , strong trading and won't be asking shareholders for cash. Gable Holdings (AIM: GAH.L), the European non-life insurance company, will announce its results for the 6 month period ending 30 June 2015 on Thursday 10 September 2015. The Company will be updating shareholders on trading which shows continued strong growth with claims experience in line with expectations. The Company will also be updating shareholders on the Company's solvency capital preparations which are advancing well and will not include an approach to the market to raise equity capital. Commenting, William Dewsall, Chief Executive of Gable, said: "We are pleased with the trading performance during the year to date and are making good progress with our solvency capital preparations for Gable, which will be satisfied by focussing on structured debt and insurance products. We expect that the conclusion of this process will leave the business well positioned for its next phase of profitable growth." | battlebus2
17/8/2015 06:00 | no one wants to touch it - dirs silent apart from hiring a legal specialist - what do they know? Court case? | luckymouse
12/8/2015 16:08 | Once again a handful of trades from a very small number of disenfranchised investors results in a company losing 9% of its value. | mw16
12/8/2015 15:34 | 20p looked an obvious support level that might have helped to create a chart bottom. Any hopes of that seem to have evaporated today I see. | saucepan
27/7/2015 12:09 | Interesting | saucepan
27/7/2015 06:16 | Board appointment... | battlebus2
23/7/2015 14:15 | Directors can't buy because the company must be in a close period as they have released interims in the first half of September for the last two years. Shuffle man, basle II relates to banks not insurance companies but you are right the solvency II rules come in at the end of this year | boricom
23/7/2015 07:43 | Looks like this has bounced off the bottom and is oversold. | superbarnet
21/7/2015 12:30 | 13p & 16p look to be the main theoretical spt areas - trouble is no ones buying - if that goes then theres nothing until 4p ! | luckymouse |
