Yes that’s cos I’m a subscriber. Can say that they are still enthusiastic about the FUTR so much so that they are planning a meeting with the company again this month.

A couple of days before the results there was news of another appointment at FUTR per their website:

James Marchington takes up the newly created position of Editor-in-Chief of Clay Shooting, with responsibility for all clay pigeon shooting content created across Future’s print and digital channels, including the highly respected monthly magazine Clay Shooting and its popular website, www.clay-shooting.com. He will also consult on the magazine’s branded events, including the Clay Shooting Classic and British Schools & Young Shots Championship.

Good to also see the fight against one-time use plastic taking centre-stage at FUTR too:

Future plc, has partnered with Sky Ocean Rescue to remove single-use plastics from the Mobile Industry Awards ceremony. This will be Future’s first ever single-use plastic-free event, with the intention of encouraging the mobile industry to come together to drive the use of single-use plastic out of their product packaging, supply and operations.

A big battle on their hands!

Another sharewatch tip, Footasylum shs have drifted on lack of news since January...Foot Locker's stonkinly awesome results in USA today, sending it's shs up 20%, gives us a v good lead indicator for footasylum results due next month...sector is obviously doing incredibly well. Sharewatch tip sheet, highly regarded, made FOOT a major buy earlier this year...time to buy whilst market in london hasn't woken up yet

I note that FUTR was a top-up for Robbie Burns (aka The Naked Trader) yesterday:

I picked up some more Future PLC (LON:FUTR).

Of course again it is risky picking up shares in a company close to reporting (May 17), but the shares are rising here in advance as well.

The recent statement reported strong trading with recent the acquisition of Newbay, which gives it a platform in the US by taking its info and events business.

It should start to see increasing sales in the States and the company indeed looks to have a good long-term future. So, if I can hold onto the shares for one or two years, I will.
