01/10/2009 09:42 | Hearing bad things about this company now. I have sold the lot | altube
29/9/2009 16:39 | Not on massive volume though. I agree with Altube, though, Future must look like a good acquisition at this sort of price, given that it's ridden out the recession better than most dead tree publishing companies. It's diversified successfully into customer publishing, has dipped its toes into publishing on demand (with the WoW magazine) and has launched tons of consumer shows off the back of its many brands. And then its websites appear to be going from strength to strength, especially its 'Radar' branded sites. If only it wasn't for those pesky Americans dropping the ball... Bah!@ | anyoldrubbish
29/9/2009 16:23 | it took its time, but you were right Anyoldrubbish, seems strange that it has dropped so late in the day | outsourcer
29/9/2009 13:45 | Yes, the US problem was highlighted, but its effects have been worse than thought. Therefore, I suspect we'll see a couple of pence come off the share price at least over the next day or so. Disappointing, really, as I was expecting reasonably good news. Actually, given the economic circumstance, it wasn't that bad I guess, but I still think the share price will slim down after the US FU. | anyoldrubbish
29/9/2009 10:01 | doesnt look like it, statement didnt include anything that wasnt already known, the US problem was highlighted earlier this year, so I guess its justs going to plod along as always. I am gutted becuase my average price was about 25p, but sold a few off before the rise as needed the cash and if I had held would have been able to get out altogether at break even, having held these now for over 4 years and not once been in profit ! | outsourcer
29/9/2009 09:02 | Looks like we're heading back down... | anyoldrubbish
28/9/2009 09:44 | Trading update tomorrow! Fingers and thumbs all crossed. | anyoldrubbish
22/9/2009 10:55 | Are you back in again altube? | anyoldrubbish
21/9/2009 22:14 | Hi all Long time, FUTR looking solid media company at the moment, it has been difficult but circualtions have remained and less reliant on ads makes it a bonus. Managed properly this is a cash generating business. Any take out would have to be close 80p for the institutions to listen | altube
16/9/2009 13:03 | "They walked it up to the top of the hill, and they walked it all the way back down again..." | anyoldrubbish
16/9/2009 09:59 | heading back down | outsourcer
15/9/2009 13:00 | I always speak 'any old rubbish' so there you go :D Am now very interested to hear what the company has to say during its update at the end of the month. | anyoldrubbish
15/9/2009 11:26 | spoke to soon anyoldrubbish !!!! I guess no one was really buying into the rise, so there is not much point taking it higher, unless there is some good news on the horizon | outsourcer
15/9/2009 10:05 | And steadily she rises. Maybe there is some news coming out soon after all. Update due at the end of the month too. | anyoldrubbish
10/9/2009 12:22 | I honestly dont think so, this has risen considerably (for FUTR) in the last 2 days, but time will tell | outsourcer
10/9/2009 11:23 | I'm not so sure... it's probably just reflecting the general rise in share prices and optimism that the recession is coming to the end. | anyoldrubbish
10/9/2009 10:29 | something is afoot at FUTR, if I hadn't sold a load the other month, I would now be breaking even !!! | outsourcer
09/9/2009 16:47 | blimey thats a bit of a jump at close | outsourcer
03/8/2009 10:15 | What you forget about though is that they bought a shedload of their mags... with most of them now having been closed down. What a waste of money and a great way to saddle the company with debt. | anyoldrubbish
02/8/2009 13:20 | Seems quite flat, a Highbury House situation has been averted. Would not have been so had they taken them over. | cheltspy
30/7/2009 10:31 | And I never sold! Sheer greed on my part!! | anyoldrubbish
30/7/2009 09:36 | I remember the heady days of shares in the £9 range! | anyoldrubbish
30/7/2009 08:34 | another steady interim statement, I think the heady days of shares in the 80p range are long gone. | outsourcer
22/7/2009 09:42 | looks like we wont be holding 19p | outsourcer |
