20/2/2003 00:12 | Helo Whole, FNET results are out on the 11 March. | boram
20/2/2003 00:06 | JLWilliams, thanks for talking to me! Boy, I needed that! Only potential downside I can see is a negative/neutral outlook statement from the Chairman. Also, we all know that advertising revenues are down in the sector. Everything else points to very good results. Their market share has grown massively, ABC figures put their circulation on a 14% growth last year. Before the ABC figures were published the Chairman said they were "comfortably ahead" on FY EBITDA profitablility. I'm not sure too many people are aware of the potential in FNET but the analyst ratings are second to none. Have a good read of the RNSs. You'll become an FNET preacher yourself! Good luck mate! | wole
19/2/2003 14:26 | 25K MM trade just gone thru. There were some MM trades yesterday as well. Expect to pay top dollar to own this share soon! | wole
19/2/2003 11:59 | Wole - you look really lonely on here. Why do you think FNET hasn't got us regular boarders very interested as yet? (I saw your post on the BARC thread.) What are the possible/probable/po | jlwilliams
19/2/2003 11:17 | Charts would suggest the bounce is back on. Tends to rise sharply once on a rally! Maybe back to 56p level and hover around that price till results??? | wole
18/2/2003 18:20 | Intriguing to note that some of the analysts researching this stock researched INF which posted results today. Those results were spot on in line with analyst expectations. Their recommendation on INF was basically HOLD and INF grew 8% today! Makes you wonder how the reaction will be if FNET performs in line as well... | wole
17/2/2003 00:51 | Results out 11 March.Pointers suggest a sharp swing in balance sheet from huge losses to over £10M profits!!! This could eventually equate to 110p+ share price. Barring a cautious outlook statement on or before results day the current share price is the bargain of the year! No wonder FNET is a STRONG BUY at 5 out of 9 researchers with the remaining 4 saying BUY!!!Source:No Of Shares in Issue (m)321Current EPS (p)-69Prospective EPS (p)3.2Current Share Price53Current Capitalisation (m)170.13Prospective Profits (m)10.272Current PE-0.762Prospective PE16.5625EPS Growth Rate100Prospective PEG Ratio0.165625Correct | wole
14/2/2003 08:22 | LONDON (AFX) - Future Network PLC said overall ABC figures show a 14.3 pct increase in total year-on-year circulation of the company's audited UK magazines. Chief executive Greg Ingham said the figures showed the continued strength of the computer games market and of Future's return to a more active launch programme. "Our UK games portfolio, and in particular our Official PlayStation 2 and Xbox magazines, continues to lead its market with overall games magazine sales up 22.7 pct year on year, confirming the first half trend," he said. Future has also seen a number of successes in the entertainment division, most notably from music magazines. Ingham said market conditions remain tough for computing titles, which showed several declines. "However, we're pleased that our computing market share has increased five points to 29 pct, helped by the strong launch of our Official Microsoft Windows XP magazine." | gzr

12/2/2003 00:04 | I'm talking to myself by the look of things but this is moving up sweetly. Sales up 14% in H1, up 18% in first 4 months of H2. That's nice momentum and Christmas sales are likely to have increased further. Looking forward to the results on March 11 - should be rather positive imo. CR | cockneyrebel
11/2/2003 21:25 | Hi Tony - trix are fine :-) Yep, a lot of big trades today - most buys I think. CR | cockneyrebel

04/2/2003 00:12 | speculative mention in shares mag this week as possible bidder for highbury house which looking rather cheap at mo. | rambutan2
03/2/2003 11:44 | has been drifting down for weeks out of boredom. Has alread said results will be comfortably ahead of expectations with H2 sales up 18%. Company has restructured itself nively. Results are due early March and this am a sudden flurry of buys with level II firming up. 3.08p eps concensus, share price well off its recent high of 63p. What's 'comfortably ahead'? 4p?, 5p? eps. A PE of 10 perhaps and a major return to growth path. Might be solid through Feb to the results perhaps CR | cockneyrebel
20/1/2003 09:05 | Edging higher on low volume.Any half decent trades will send them northwards, methinks. | addict
17/1/2003 13:06 | Big buy this morning for 838,000 shares. I think FNET have been tarred with the same brush as Game recently, but the trading statement shows that the magazines are selling better then the games themselves. | gzr
17/1/2003 09:35 | Looking for the first digit to be a '6'.The Dec 5th positive trading statement sent them to 63p,and if the Nov. Dec. data builds on that, mid 60's looks to be on the cards.DYOR. | addict
16/1/2003 10:57 | Looking lively today,in a generally depressed market.Reading between the lines, the follow up trading statement is likely to be positive.DYOR. | addict
23/12/2002 18:27 | addict Agreed, as it was the trading statement which brought me back in. Then just a question of waiting for the, hopefully, best time to buy. These tips came later but always welcome. Good luck. | balthazar b |
