08/5/2019 14:27 | In case anybody thinks they have been invested in a different company all along the post AGM press release makes reference to the ticker TIDM being changed to BIRD. TIDM is an acronym which stands for Tradable Instrument Display Mnemonics, a name given to all tickers. The voting results make it look as if we have Stalin or Pol Pot as Chairman and Party Secretary though it is flattering to the BoD since as of today there are 295,486,199 shares in issue. I wonder who had the temerity to vote against the motions? | chriscallen

08/5/2019 13:54 | Actually the trades showing as sells are buys, one of the anomaly’s of advfn, my purchase showed up as a sell as did other buys at the same price. You can test by doing a dummy trade to see what the underlying marked price might be | goggin
08/5/2019 12:57 | They are not capable of marketing and selling Blackbird in the industry. They have a good piece of tech and now they need to sell the company to google or someone with deep pockets. Hopefully someone will ask what plans they have to sell the company. | mcsean2164
08/5/2019 12:56 | Just noticed that Hargreaves Lansdown are showing a 2% rise at the moment although there has been not a single purchase today. | chriscallen
08/5/2019 12:53 | If Blackbird is as good as they say they could have filmed the AGM and put it on the shareholders part of the website today. | chriscallen

08/5/2019 09:33 | ChrisC Agree, to be fair, If I was tasked with putting together a summary of 2018 it would be similar!! Focus on revenue, gloss over loss (£2.25m) Focus on contract extensions, gloss over that there is no new substantial business Focus on tech updates, gloss over that promised updates are not complete Focus on company name change, new chairman, gloss over that 2019 (to date) has yielded nothing GLM (Get out of AGM unscathed and hope no one asks about the £1m deals!!) | paulcon1
08/5/2019 09:14 | More chance of seeing Vic Steele than Andrew Bentley. MK - can you ask David Main what attracted him to the role of a tech Chairman in a company paying him £120,000 a year. | bonio10000

08/5/2019 07:20 | ... but no mention of any prospect of the medium and large deals that IM referred to in Nov 2018 and more significantly no mention of what level of growth they experienced in Q1 2019. Is that because they fear shareholders will not be impressed? Without figures the Stock Market rating will remain dismal. | chriscallen

Ahead of the formal business of the meeting, David Main, Chairman of Forbidden, will make the following statement: "Before proceeding with the formal part of the AGM, I should like to take the opportunity of commenting on the Company's progress since we last met. We published our audited results for the year ended 31 December 2018 on 12 March 2019. "We started 2019, with the progress and momentum achieved in 2018: • Revenue up 15% to £870,310 (2017: £758,835); • Invoiced sales up 34% to £960,606 (2017: £714,903); • Combined deferred revenue and order book up 47% to £566,104 (2017: £385,439); • Recurring infrastructure sales grew to 53% of invoiced sales (2017: 48%); • Stronger balance sheet, as a result of a successful fundraising, resulting in a year end cash position of £5,032,087 vs. £1,752,349 at the end of 2017; • Successful conversion programme of our applications from Java to java script; and • Significant strengthening of our team with key hires in sales, marketing, and product development. "To date this year, we have continued to strengthen our business: • Entering into our first multi-year deal with IMG; • Securing a relationship with Peloton at the end of January. We have recently received an order for a further US-based studio in addition to their initial 3 sites; • Extending our relationship with Deltatre for another 12 months; • Renewing our e-sports relationship with Gfinity for another year; • Starting to execute on our strategy of adopting an OEM style model for our Post Production business. To date this year, we have converted six customers to this relationship model vs. quoting for individual productions; • Achieving Microsoft Co-Sell Ready Sales status for Blackbird in January. We are already working more closely together to drive new business; including recently being on their stand at the NAB show in the US; • Announcing in April that Xytech plans to integrate Blackbird into their market-leading facility management software, MediaPulse; • In product development, making the java script version of our editing and clipping solutions available to all users. At NAB, we also demonstrated playback of a live feed through the Blackbird player to prospective customers for the first time; and • Finally, we have further strengthened our team. Stephen White has joined us in the combined role of Chief Operating and Financial Officer. We have also recently appointed an East Coast Sales person for our North American business. "The Board is confident that the business is now focused with a strong, incentivised team, a best-of-breed product, a clear strategy, the Blackbird brand, and the financial strength to accelerate growth, realising value from our Blackbird technology and platform." | chriscallen
07/5/2019 20:56 | Q. Why The company makes Blackbird promotional videos (one released today about NAB) which is good however none of them are Blackbird encoded for viewing even on our website! | nickb |
